Ceiling Fans

Hi,

just bought a house in Melbourne and the FNQ in me requires ceiling fans haha (seriously, how do people not have them…). Anyway, I will need about 6. One of them will be outdoors, but undercover and away from weather.

Anybody know of any decent sales or suppliers that do a 130cm+ size, good bearings, quiet and balanced? The Pacific Hunter seems to get good reviews. I am after a white, or second choice stanless steel, normal design, nothing out there. I'm hoping to spend about $100 each. Already got my brother arranged to install.

Thanks in advance, Sam.

  • Thanks for the links, I did see those before I posted. Went and checked out the Hunter Pacific at masters and boy are the ear blades ugly…

  • I went through the same process of trying to find one that wasn't ugly but also not designer priced.
Found the Martec range, sold on eBay, had some nice ones. Have had them for three years with no problems.

  • Best Brand for decades has been AIRFLOW.

    • Yep, brother who is a sparky has said he only touches AIRFLOW. The hunt begins haha

    • Are you guys talking about Airflow by Clipsal?

  • Get remote ones with lights if your bro is installing and just replace lights already there. 10-20mins per fan only as you don't have to run cable.
