Why is size important for pastries? I would think that quality would count more in the 'valuation' of a treat? Or is size the most important thing - I suppose it does form part of the 'value' equation…
this is ozbargain, we want to get the best or maximum bargain, super duper yummy but small with $xx price is not really a bargain for example, but ofcourse everyone definition of bargain is different.
Just shows how desparate so called 'deal' sites such as Groupon are getting.
The sweet pastries are delicious. They're normally $2.50 for the original/glazed Crossaints and $3 for the Dulce de leche and other fancy sounding ones.
no deal. very small and still expensive.
Argentinian Baked Goods
I'm pretty sure these are made in Australia… They'd be quite stale if they were Argentinian…

They could be like the ones sold by Coles/Woolworths - made in Belgium etc. then frozen, then 'baked' in Australia.
However, I understand what you mean - they could have said Argentinian style for the empanadas. The others are French and Danish style/types (Vienna brod).
If they were made in Argentina they would be larger. I think this is a bit of a novelty bakery in that the prices charged are a bit steep for what you get. Argentineans like to eat big, so this is not necessarily a proper representation of their cuisine.
Still, it is difficult to get Arg type food in Sydney so it's nice to know there's a place in the city.
I brought flour, water, sugar and eggs from Argentina to make my own.
Everything else should be fine, but I would check those eggs if I were you.
It's illegal to bring eggs in to the country.
Something smells foul…
This is good stuff, too many other 'pastries' taste the same these days. If they added the word 'gourmet' like some do, they could probably charge twice as much. I hope the empanadas don't have too much onion.
I'd prefer Columbian baked goods
Dodgy groupon !!
Not trying to troll, but if you go to fairfield, there are a couple of Argentenian bakeries which make the pastries for 80c a piece. (La torre or Confeteria Maciel)
Beware their Pastries aRe smalls
