  • Have anyone used this? If so, any good?

Not a bad price but I've gone down the hoselink path now and find they are great. Only connectors that don't leak.
Otherwise I think I would of grabbed this.

They are - they are well worth the money. We have some that would be going on 15 years old, and still going strong. I've lost count of the snap-on fittings we've bought in that time for other hoses.

    • Gardena snap on fittings have never leaked for me or anyone I know. If fact anything Gardena is usually very good quality.

  • Hi Ozbargainers
You all know how to pick up a bargain - we've got 10 left.

To answer Joe888, Warwickjames posted a bit about his last time: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/113579#comment-1551801

Also, we set up a snapguide on setting one of these up so you can see more here: http://snapguide.com/guides/set-up-hozelock-hose-box-reel/

Rep, I believe this is not an auto retractable unit. Do you have one that is auto retractable at a decent price.
Does anyone have any experience with this particular unit…..is it difficult to rertract manually on this unit, thinking of buying one for my monther and she is not very strong if she has to wind hard manually.
      Thanks for any advice.

  • Rep, the blurb tells us nothing about the quality of the hose. Can you provide that info please?

  • We've sold out - we'll aim to get more at the same price and post again.

    shopaholic32,
You are right, this is not an auto retractable unit. We think we have great prices on the auto rectractable Hozelock units - the 2490 20m Hozelock AutoReel at $168 is one of our biggest sellers. Big Hardware Stores sell it at $199 (pick up, or plus postage)
Saying that, this Hose Box 2382 unit is not hard to rewind in my view - it's no harder than a "normal" hose reel, just it ends up in a very compact box unit.

    Geewhizz,
Hozelock make premium hose - their hoses generally have 2-15 year warranties in Australia (the hose box is 2 years, the 2490 AutoReel I mentioned is 15 years). Hozelock invented the "click" connector, the "Hoze-Lock" - they are much better than other brands, and in our experience don't leak, and don't come off the hose.

    Hi Ozbargainers,
We've got 19 more of these Hozelock Hose Box Reels in stock now - these look to be the last in the country at this price so jump in quickly!
We did have one Ozbargainer who ordered last time for whom the stock was damaged. We've checked every box and everything is perfect in this lot. We're sorry that one purchaser's order was delayed.
