I've been on the look out for a BBQ and stumbled across this one.
I think the store manager mentioned the deal is ending on the 13th.

There are other BBQs for sale depending on what you prefer: http://www.raysoutdoors.com.au/search-results.aspx?keywords=…

As always, probably best to ring and check availability.

  • Great price, but stock is dubious.
    What store did you visit?

    • Campbelltown. They had a handful still of a variety of discounted bbqs including this one. Haven't checked other stores. Best to get in quick.

A handful of available bbqs means stocks are…

Spewing, I put this one up as a deal for $79 when I bought one a few weeks ago. I wonder if I can get the credit back on the difference?
Too cheap for this BBQ which has seemed to hold up well, it does what it it supposed to do.

    • +2

LOL why on earth would they do that?

      • They wouldn't have to. A true Ozbargainer would have purchase protection on their 28 Degrees Mastercard. If the price drops after you purchase an item, they refund the difference.

        • But the purchase protection costs money…

Have you done the maths to see if having it works out cheaper?

        • Only if you don't pay off your credit card every month.

        • Supercheap do it on their membership - if an item is cheaper within a certain time frame you get credit for the difference.

        • I have, and yes it is. Purchase protection is 0.5% of purchases calculated on the day interest is calculated. Although I have never actually paid a premium. I make a purchase on the card, then pay it straight away. So free purchase protection.

        • Are you sure about that?

Last time I looked it sounded like the purchase protection would cost you money even if you pay it off every month.

If this is true then I need to enable this feature….

        • Hey Flyerone, have you made any claim so far?

I mailed my claim about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back :/

        • Sam - it's right there on their website

          http://www.28degreescard.com.au/credit-card-features/insuran…

          AFFORDABLE PROTECTION

You can enjoy the peace of mind of Price Protection and more for just 0.5% of your monthly closing balance, up to a maximum of $50 a month – so you’ll never pay more than that.

It’s automatically debited to your card account, so there aren’t any hidden or extra bills to pay and you’ll see the premium on your statement.

If your monthly closing balance is $0, then you won't pay anything.

        • Yes so my understanding is that if you buy anything on your credit card you have to pay 0.5% of it, even if you pay the bill you receive.

Perhaps you are saying that if you buy something you should pay it off a week before your bill arrives? Not sure if that would work perfectly.. but seems like a lot of effort.

    • Yes they would. A friend of mine emailed them and they sent a reply in 4 hours that they will refund the difference.

  • Am I able to roast a Brahman on this?

  • I just signed up - i hope i receive my loyalty card in time, but i doubt it.

    Anybody wanna lend me theirs?

  • Couldn't get any Brahman 4 Burner Hooded BBQ at Lidcombe..got the $60 flat top 4 burner one instead still a good deal thanks OP!

  • +1

Do Rays use the same webdev as Lenovo? The Brahman with the roasting hood is cheaper than the flat top one!

    • Shirley the webdev doesn't set the prices?

    • That's why i get the Roasting hood as it's cheaper and includes warmer rack as well ….
And the original price for roasting hood cost more than flat top

  • Picked up one at Marion, SA. Just as I put it on the trolley, another family came and picked up the last one. He fit it in his Camry boot with a rope to tie the boot lid down and I stuck it onto my Camry's backseat and we were off. Wonder if he is an ozbargainer too.
Now to find a cheap gas cylinder.

    • Hmm bunnings?

    • I followed the advice in this post and linked deal yesterday. Masters was $25 to buy a new 9kg cylinder, then $21.85 to swap it straight away for a full one.

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/119064

      • How does swapping cylinders affect your warranty?

  • Bought 1 plus 2 guys from work bought 1 each plus another got the $159 s/s for $130

    So thanks OP :)

    • How did they get the $159 S/S one for $130? Do people barter in Rays?

  • There's a roasting one on reserve at Taylors Lakes. PM me for details.
