I've ordered a product (Samsung Evo 250gb from an earlier bargain for $189) from Shopping Express to be delivered with insurance by Australia Post eParcel.
Shopping Express has sent the goods by FastWay Couriers. I did not mind this change however the product is now missing.
At first when the product was "delivered" a signature was obtained in my name however I at the time was at university. I have another person in the granny flat behind me that has the same first name. They assured me that they did not sign for anything that day.
I spoke with Shopping Express and they stated they will talk with Fast Way.
At first Fast Way said a "kid" had signed for it.
I have raised the issue to Fair Trading NSW and now Fast Way stated that they delivered to someone at my house.
The signature (obtained online through Fastway's website shows the signature of neither mine or the person in the granny flat behind me.
I have never had this issue with Australia Post in the pass as they would leave a slip for the parcel to be collected at the nearest postal outlet.
Neither Shopping Express will compensate for the missing parcel as they say it is in the hands of Fast Way and they will not compensate for the parcel as it was "delivered"
Fair Trading says I need to go to the tribunal to deal with this matter.
Anyone faced a similar issue?
If you can prove that Shopping Square shipped differently to what you ordered
you should be stating to them that they have not done what you asked of them and
then state that you will seek compensation under Fair Trading for loss of use.
As a Uni student I assume you needed it for your studies.
My recent interaction with Fair Trading was most favourable to me and at nil cost.
They have not honoured their contract with you.
