Was pleasantly surprised to find this deal at my local BP. The carwash codes are valid for 30 days from purchase. Coincidentally, Connoisseur ice creams are 2 for $6 - great to indulge in whilst sitting in the car wash. They still stamped my card, so the 5th will be free.

What sort of car wash are BP ones? Do they use the old fashioned huge sponges/brushes that scratch your car? Or do the new the new touchless laser washes that dont do a proper clean?

Does this mean you have to get your car washed twice within 30 days? No good for me as I only wash my car once a year whether it needs it or not.

PLEASE don't use these things.
If you're really tight, use a microfiber towel and use a bucket of water and car wash (or shampoo if you're too tight to buy car wash). Free and your car won't be covered in swirls and scratches.

Meh I have used them a few times, if the clear coat is in good condition and you don't mind a mediocre job they are fine.

Good clear coat - will end up have swirls and scratches. Some cars have softer clear coats than others
Poor clear coat - will also eventually lead to clear coat failure
Difficult to do if you live in an apartment building with street parking :) I think I'll stick to the odd automatic car wash if only for the ice cream!
