  I bought a similar looking flying alarm clock from COTD for $10 a while back (which implies the disco ball is worth about $15) and it didn't fly, it just spins to the floor, it is also very cheap looking and feel so I sent it back for a store credit - wouldn't recommend it.

    i made little tabs to hold the flying thing to make it spin and fly off properly.

  I bought the same flying alarm clock thing from Woolies for about $18. Ripoff I know but I bought it for someone else and they loved it. It flies well.
