    Well these drives are new. I hadn't heard of them until now. So probably not.

    You were probably referring to the Extremes.

    This unit has fast transfer speeds up to 80MB/s.
    This is a very new model released by SanDisk, USB 3.0 and prices are reasonable.

    Hi lostn,

    The Extreme USB 3.0 are fast compare to the Ultras.
    However the failure rate is very high, therefore we decide not to carry much on those.

      There's nothing wrong the NAND memory modules inside the SanDisk Extremes; they just have fairly cheap plastic outer shells for a flash drive of that calibre and price, hence they are prone to breaking; particularly the retractable USB connector.

      Breaking versus failing due to manufacturing/design defects are two different things entirely.

      The SanDisk Extremes are still the fastest USB flash drives on the market until conclusive benchmarks prove otherwise.

  The 32gb 3.0 USB flash drive is only $1 different from what you can buy from eBay anytime of the year. You have to do better than that to get votes here sorry.
