The ASUS 4GB GTX 670 is a special edition card with extra RAM onboard and outstanding cooling.
Prior to the 7xx series being released it was $500+
My bet is stocks will be limited so get in quick if you want one…
Next best on staticice = $431…
Great deal…if only I had the money…guess I'll be waiting until the 8xx series.
TLDR: This card does poorer against the reference 670 card, unless you overclock it.
Expected, since higher density RAM means looser timings.
But buying a 4GB card comes with the expectation that you can actually utilise more than 2GB VRAM running multi-monitor or 4K, in which case comparison against a 2GB card is pretty much moot.

Still:
a) It is a lot quieter than stock units.
b) The 4gb RAM is still useful is you use more than 1 monitor (I have 3)
c) This thing overclocks a lot better than stock units
Nevertheless the "out of the box" performance with 1 screen is disappointing by 1-2% which is poor given the price premium you pay….

This performs slightly worse than the stock cards on a single monitor.
It should be faster on very high res setups (multiple monitors) due to it's 4GB of VRAM. It will likely be a fair bit quieter than the stock cards too.
i have the 2GB version and its so quiet and runs all my games at max settings.
bought it last year for $450.

That's a really good price actually! It'd be because most places are getting rid of their 670's to make way for the 700 series. That being said there isn't a whopping improvement with the 700 series anyway so it'd be a good idea to grab a card like this for the price!
