Beware here guys. I got burnt by EB on the last Xoom 2 sale. Brand new 3g Tab had issue with usb so contacted Motorola for repair under warranty. "I'm sorry sir but EB Games is not an authorised seller of our products. Warranty was void as soon as you bought it from them". So I contact EB Games & get told they don't have & won't be getting more Xoom 2 3g so exchange can't be arranged so ended up with a refund. Just beware here. Good price, good Tab but no warranty. :-(
The law also gives consumers the right to pursue a manufacturer or importer for a remedy, even if goods were bought from a retailer. However, manufacturers and importers are not required to issue refunds unless the consumer purchased the goods directly from them – that is, they have a contract of sale with the consumer.
Motorola could have been required to repair or replace the tablet if found not to measure up to a statutory condition, authorised seller or not. In fact, what Motorola told you is misleading. Yes, the voluntary warranty was void, but it still had an obligation under the Consumer Law to repair or replace the tablet. As per above, it could not be required to issue a refund, as it did not have a contract with you.
Good features but i found that these are a bit slow. haven't tried rooting it to see if it is any faster.
These are terribly slow tablets. Once you get a few apps on them they bog down and become unbearable. ALSO the bootloader on these tablets is locked so you CANNOT update the Android version past 4.0.2. Motorola has abandoned them petty much.
Much better deal is to find a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 for the same price. Infinitely better.
Very slow tablet
Whats that got to do with the deal…
Not too bad, but it's been cheaper before at EB http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87350
