  • Thanks. Isn't the blu ray 20% off?
Back to JB dodgy not filter able list….

    • Yep sorry Fat fingers fast typing :)

  • +1

Good deal with the 2 for 1!

  • Hard drives = no go? :(

    • Yeah was hoping for that too :(

  • Hmm, this'll take the 55 inch Sony 4K TV down to around $3500…
Edit: Actually the 4K TV's are excluded… No go for me then.

    • +7

      I wouldn't buy a first gen 4K anyway

      • One of the reasons I'm actually glad. I've always told myself to wait for the second batch of 4k models…

  • +1

Note they have a Buy 2 get 1 free on selected blurays (&DVDs) if the sale runs as per previous then the 20% will come off top :)

That's what I have been waiting patiently for. Here's hoping 3 DVDs for $20.77.

  • +2

Thanks for the heads up mate. Some killer deals here.

    Some notable ones are:

    Canon Pixma MX926 - $159.60

    Homeland Season 2 Blu Ray - $37.58

Game of Thrones Season 1 and 2 Pack Blu Ray - $54.40

      • +1

I actually already have both Game of Thrones series and bought the double pack for my dad on Fathers day. Basically I ripped myself off twice.

  • whats "Factory Scoop" ?

    Sony RX-100 $669 - 15% = ~$570.

Very good price (possibly the best) for local stock. Tempted.

Still trying to find an NTSC model as I conform to 30fps rather than 25fps and the RX-100 doesn't have the option to switch.

    • -2

That's last years model, not the Sony RX-100 II, this years model

      • +5

Umm did I say that it was this years model? So why the neg? The RX100 mark 2 compared with the mark 1 has WiFi, ability to shoot in 24p, a horseshoe connector and a vertically articulating LCD. Your call if that's worth $200+ over the mark 1.

There's that, and there's a few comparison videos on youtube/vimeo showing that the II has worse low light performance than the original. There are also threads on dpreview and the like with people comparing both the cameras.

Personally (and the thoughts of many others on the issue) is that the mark 1 is a better camera for the price, hence why it is still so popular.

  • Any good deals on a 3ds? or xl version?

  • Dredd 3D, Spider-Man 3D & last Resident Evil 3D :)

    • +2

Which reminds me they also have a buy 1 get 1 free on selected 3D titles unfortunatly it's limited to a list of 15 http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/dvds-on-sale/3d-b1g1f[2].htm

      • Thanks, was considering Prometheus 3D and Titanic 3D, with this offer + 20% off, that would be ~$16.5 each, not too bad

  • does anyone know if I can play a 3D bluray using ps3 and non-3d tv?

    • +1

you can play it, it just won't be 3d.

    • -1

      no you need both

      • +2

he needs both IF he wants to watch it in 3d. but if he's ok with watching in 2d then all is good. 3d discs are backward compatible; ps3 can play standard blu ray (although it can be enabled for 3d). therefore the limiter here is the 2d tv.

        • Not all 3D discs can play in 2D unless the 2D version is on the disc, the 3D standard is not backwards compatible

  • any recommendation for a budget 15" laptop?

  • Doesn't apply on the 2 for 1 Bluray offer when ordering online? :(
Can't see any 20% off when checking out

    • +4

      ahem it's Friday.

      • yeah, thanks for pointing this out! So should work if ordering online tomorrow then!

        • or tonight!

    • I have added items to my cart including 3 for 2 Bluray offer and a regular Bluray.

It is obviously Saturday EST as the regular Bluray has been automatically discounted by 20% but the 3 complying Bluray are still showing as $15.98 for 2 of them and $0 for the 3rd.

I would say the 20% off does not apply to the 3 for 2 offer, at least for online purchases.

It's damned annoying because the Bluray I wanted are not showing in stock at any local JB stores so I have to order online.

      • Update: must have been an aberration last night as I can add the 3 for 2 Blurays to the cart now at 20% discount and also get the free 3rd complying item, so it's all good.

  • i wonder if the 20% discount on logitech would apply to the K760 keyboard currently at $48..which brings it down to around $38 (or less than $40) mark.

    ??

    • They did honor it, they gave me 20% discount on $48 to bring it around $38.. happy camper here..

  • Sony speakers/dock pricing 30% off working today.

SRSBTX300B for $158 (normally $227) is a great price. Picked one up this afternoon.

    • +5

Lol. Your neg isn't going to last long :)

      • Well technically Garmin isn't on sale and Navman is so the original poster has wrongly listed the deal.

        • Actually pretty sure the original flyer stated Garmin and they have changed it to navman. I copied it word for word. I will change the OP to reflect JBs change

        • Ok. Perhaps JB stuffed up then.

      • Yeah pity about the 11 turkeys who can't read but negged my comment anyway.

  • 20% off Sony headphones and they take off the Sony MDR1's off the website, surprise, surprise. They did the same thing last time too….

  • I hate their online ordering system. If you chose pick up, they wont hold it for you. So basically it means it will be gone the time you go to the store to pick it up.

    • What do you mean they won't hold it for you?? I've done a few pick ups usually you order, they pick it, put it behind the counter and send you an email saying it's ready. Order the stays behind the counter util you collect it assuming you don't take weeks about it.

  • thanks op

  • Thanks. I picked up the cheap 32" Samsung TV. http://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-lcd-led-plasma/samsung/32-inch-h…

I checked it yesterday and it was $380 with the 15% off. For some reason it dropped to $338 today. When I went in to pick it up it was still listed as $476 (15% off = $380) on the shelf.

  • You wouldn't need a 4k TV at this point, not many supporting disks atm, and not so much differnt from full hd anyways.

    • Not so much different?

      1920 * 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels

      4096 * 2160 = 8,847,360 pixels.

4k has roughly 4 times the amount of information per frame than 1080p.

Still think it's not so much different?

      • +1

No point if there's no 4K content to watch

  • Think i'll be wandering up this morning and having a word. This unopened Car CD player - birthday present for sister in a couple of weeks - is burning a bit of a hole in my wallet knowing now that i know if i'd only waited a week it would be a full $55 cheaper. Something they neglected to mention.

  • Can anyone tell me if Dredd 3d on the buy 2 get on 1 free prior to this sale? I had it bookmarked to buy when they did the additional 20% off.

    • yes it was which was always a little surprising. Here's a link to a post from a few weeks ago that confirms it http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=7987291&postcount=20…

    • I was at Top Ryde JB Hi-Fi today. Sadly Dredd 3D was not marked for sale. Would have loved to grab the Hobbit as well. BUT thanks OP, grabbed a couple. $25.56 for 3 and a further 5% ING as they have Paypass. =)

EDIT: It was on sale but not in the buy 2 get 1 for free. I thought it was cause it was in the bins but someone had just thrown it there… =(

  • Nice one! Just paid $1600 for a 60" LED Sony TV.

  • Thanks OP, always wait for these sales to add to my Blu-Ray collection…just got another 6 for $50 :)

  • Are any of the Onkyo Receivers discounted?

    I can't see any price differences…

    Would love a TX-NR626
