Pelican I1075 iPad/Tablet Case $30 Bunnings Underwood (Compton Rd) Was $70+ (Vise Grips $12.35)

120

Remember the last time you went snorkelling and wished you could carry your iPad or tablet with you underwater? With this submersible, shock-resistant case, you can!

This is the "i" model which means the foam cutouts are made to fit an ipad. You can easily fit an android tablet by cutting a bit of the foam though.

$30 is definitely the cheapest I've seen anywhere. There were about 1.5 cartons left in that store. Not sure if it's available in other outlets.

Also, the other Bunnings just round the corner has 250mm (that's the regular large size) curved jaw Vise Grips for $12.35. They're normally about $30.

(it says $12.45 but scans as $12.35)

It must have been quite a traumatic experience for you to block it out of memory like that. It's ok, you're safe now.

I got a neoprene case for $10. Same stuff they use for scuba suits, so I figure it is good under water too.

I guess you will find out pretty soon

    • Will keep it warm when its wet at least

  • I remember in Hawaii someone took their waterproof iPhone case snorkelling and ended up with life like non functioning iPhone display model.

Seriously, why would you want to take your ipad underwater?

    • Because you're near the end of the extended warranty with JB Hi-FI?

I'm sure you've seen people take photos with their ipads. With this Pelican case, they would be able to take photos underwater too.

…after which they won't be able to block people's views and look silly in public again. Win!

    • Our kids swim school use them out in the water to show videos on either how to do a certain technique, or I think they can also record the kids and play it back to highlight what they are doing wrong.

  • Could not find the case at Greenacre NSW store. :(

Will be trying a few other outlets tomorrow.
