  • Thanks for the heads up! It's been great the amount of free content we have been getting of late.

Great amount, but not great quality.

    "I'm ALL IN!"

  • It wont let me proceed without adding my credit card details.. I know this has happened to me before with other deals on here but I can't remember how to get around it lol.. Any one care to explain please ;)

This is due to the recent account conversions from points to $$$…apparently should be fixed "sooner rather than later", but for now, the workaround is to buy via the console.

Some other decent deals announced recently…Angry Birds Trilogy is $9.97:

      …the Back to School Sale:

…and Far Cry Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez Gunslinger will be $7.50 next week (along with a Behemoth and Warner Brothers Sale):

      • Ah ok thanks.. I'll give that a go..

Does that mean if I add points to my account, then they will be converted to $$

        • +2

Yep…the "exchange rate" appears to be around 1.67 - eg: 1500 points card will get you $25.

If you can score point cards for less, you can score some free $$$.

Mighty Ape still have their 3000 points for $42.40 delivered…this would be converted to just over $50:

        • I just used two 1500 point cards I had from over 6 months ago from a dick smith sale..

When I redeemed the first one it said something like $20.45 and then made my account go to $40 something.. then the second one just added and said my account is now $70.. not quite sure how to work out how much they actually gave me..

Either way, I win because I think they only cost me like $5 or less =)

Is there a way to view my recent transactions? to work out exactly how much they game me?

          EDIT: found it.. 1500 = $25.08 AUD

          Cheers ;)

          Existing 1240 points = $20.46 AUD
          Added 1500 = $25.08 AUD
          Added 1500 = $25.08 AUD
          Total = $70.63 AUD

If only we could buy GTAV on xbox live ;)

I had around 8800 points which I bought for $90 which blew up to like $170+ when converted. I guess I'll wait till Christmas sale to spend it all.

        • nice =)

If only I knew earlier when they had the $5 for 1200 points sale, I would have bought more then just three lol

      • Attempting to buy via the console results in the same issue for me. It appears my points conversion isn't complete yet though.

  • Do I need a gold account to get this deal?

    • No just got it with my PC login silver account here.

  • Not sure if I'd call free-to-play "free" exactly…
