yeah, that's what it looks like. Rep, I suggest changing the title to 3x200g otherwise it sounds like one expensive jerky.
I tried samples from these guys by the way. Very tasty indeed.
Thanks Erd, just changed it
12$ shipping :(
would've been an awesome deal if it was free shipping
If you order over $100 shipping is free :)
For the future:
I've fixed it up.
Thanks Neil, sorry for the inconvenience
geez $12 postage for 600 gram parcel is on the steep side.
If you order over $100 worth shipping is free
Yeah it would be a definite buy if the shipping was free.
Great tasting Jerky… Usually $25 for a 200g bag so you are saving $15 or 20%
$100/kg…
our 200g bags are usually $25, in this deal we've marked them down to $20.
If you buy a 1kg bag online we charge $75.
I was thinking this was a good deal… then i refreshed the page and saw that there was another jerky deal within a few minutes…. Jim, can you do any better on the deals and the other one is quite a bit cheaper?
We're constantly taking feedback from you guys so keep it coming. What would you think about this deal with free freight? (Just as an example)
Instant purchase from me :-)
Just had a quick browse but couldn't get any insight on the description of the flavour. Can I order a single flavour only?
The Pack contains Safari, Piri Piri and Honey Soy. So you get 3 flavours :)
If it is free shipping, definitely I go for it :)
Free freight would help boost it a fair bit i think as thats what typically makes online deals not worthwhile.
I typically make my own but have stopped since my dehydrator blew up so i'm holding off on making more till i have a new house
Jerky is just one of those things that people will always think is a expensive because they dont consider the cost of raw materials and just how much weight is lost in the dehydration process, and therefore how much it actually costs to make.
Hopefully this helps some potential customers see some more value in this
If you were to make it yourself here's what it would cost you:
$45 - 3kg Girello beef
$4 - Seasoning
$10 - Labor
$5 - Electricity
$1 - packaging
$65 total for 1kg jerky as end result - not to mention:
- your whole house smelling of meat for a few days driving you compleatly bonkers and making you crave it so much that when you are packaging it you will go through about 200 grams in the process
- If you have a dog, it would probably have eaten half of it before it finished (if this is the case you should take it to a vet)
- your partner will either thank you, or excommunicate you
- you need to have an upfront investment of getting a dehydrator, and cheap ones will last you about 3 uses and are probably not designed to get that high in temperatuure
$10 - Labor
$5 - Electricity
$1 - packaging
… well, the electricity bill would likely be around $1-2. I'd store them in sealable, re-usable containers. And I don't have any kids that I'd force to make jerky for their pocket money. So…
About $52/kg. If you're to be trusted about the price of other ingredients.
No other jerky comes close to Jim's! Might not be the cheapest but by hell it's the best in Australia
ha. 'Jerkaholics'.
that's a bit naughty.
I'm almost through my last order (all 2kg) but I'm going to wait for a bulk biltong special.
is this deal $60 for 600gm, not including shipping?
