The HP100 have a bit of a cult following on Head-Fi, and are one of better rated sub-$300 headphones on the market. Typical price in Australia is ~$250 shipped, but Massdrop (registration required) has an unlocked group buy deal for US$149.99 + $16.21 shipping to Australia (~A$184 shipped).

Also of interest to audiophiles-on-a-budget is the HRT microStreamer Amp/DAC for ~$171 shipped, which is a very highly rated portable USB Amp/DAC — many rate it ahead of the similar, but significantly more expensive AudioQuest DragonFly and Meridian Explorer. Typical price in Australia is ~$220 shipped.

I'm a newbie to audio but I've been reading about my Sony XBA-4 that I recently received. Would appreciate if anyone could confirm my thoughts?
People say that the XBA-4 work well with a low impedance source. If I'm reading this correctly the Microstreamer has a low impedance of 0.5 ohm. Can I assume then that this should work well with the XBA-4?
Secondly, the Microstreamer would appear to work with Samsung devices, so I'm assuming it will work with S3 4G?
