My son has finally decided he can't live without these any longer. His decision coincides with the receipt of Birthday money and the end to all the specials :/
Can anyone advise of this models availability at a good price? Most of the online stores have either returned them to their original pricing or have stopped stocking them.
Another concern is that EB Games and Turtle Beach are selling 'Recertified/Refurbished' stock at $140/$148 (only 3 months warranty) which indicates to me that they must have had large numbers of returns to make a special category on their website unless the numbers sold were just huge.

JB has new units on sale for $149, as they're clearing them out. I think they were replaced by the xp500.
I wouldn't worry too much about getting a faulty, Turtle Beach don't have the best rep any more with their newer headsets, but at least you''ll have a one year warranty.
