My son wants a headset to reduce ambient noise (mostly his mum talking to her friends :D) while playing PS3 games. His research tells him that bluetooth is the way to go to for his situation as it could also be paired to a smartphone for listening to music. His main question is whether 2 headsets can operate simultaneously (so he can do multi-player with his mates) and what brands are recommended? Does anyone have experience with these? I didn't have any luck at JB or EB Games or maybe I just didn't know what I was looking for. We haven't put a price limit on this.

Yes. I think this is one of the picks and they are down to $200 at EB Games on sale from tomorrow.

Yep, needs a USB receiver. PX5 has dual bluetooth.

They are Wifi/Bluetooth and can be used with phone, PS3, Xbox etc all at the same time. I paid $300 for mine about a year or so ago and love them, they can be picked up for around $120 now though if you shop wisely.
