Awesome price on GTA! So tempted to cancel my special edition pre order at eb and save $50! Hmm..

Wade will yours come with the blimp pre order dlc?

    • +5

These ones do not come with the Blimp DLC :(
They may come with the blimp, but our supplier can't be sure, so to be safe we're saying they're not. We have another SKU a little bit more expensive that is coming with the blimp though.

But you have to wait for those, i'm impatient so it's either BTB or a physical store

      • Very true, but I've always found the shipping time from both PlayAsia and Ozgameshop fairly reasonable (in fact I once received a game the day before it was officially released). How long do Beat the Bomb usually take to ship? (I've never ordered from them before)

PS - Like the BtB version, the above PlayAsia and Ozgameshop games include Atomic Blimp DLC.

BTB are really fast with shipping. Slow shipping takes 2-5 days to get. Fast shipping has been (so far) next day delivery

      • I think I may just go with Jb Hifi at $89. Comes with the blimp, I don't have to wait and JB is across the road from work saving petrol

and in the end I have zero doubt I will get my dollars worth of value from this title.

      They're NTSC-J versions.

      As per their website:
Please note: this is the NTSC-J version of the game which is compatible with PAL systems.
Any future DLC may require an Asian xbox Live account.

      • Yep, the Oz ones are Japanese NTSC, but the PlayAsia are US NTSC. Can't speak for XBox, but the PS3 version will work flawlessly.

For $10 less, it's up to you folks. Rukia says BtB have quick shipping and it is the PAL version (plus local returns if there is a problem I guess). But if you want to save a little $$, I've had nothing but positive experiences with PlayAsia and Ozgameshop (so can't recommend them highly enough).

  • AUS or UK stock?

    • +1

      UK :)

      • -2

Will these be imported from the Uk then forwarded to Aus customers? or will you have stock on release date?

        • +2

"We are expecting our units of GTA 5 the day before release, so if you order with express post, you should receive on release day."

        • +2

Yes. They first come here to our warehouse, then we forward them on. We will have stock before the release date, so should be able to get it to you on release, if all goes well (and you order express!).

          Cheers,
          Wade

      • Which should mean 100% certainty of getting an uncensored copy?

        • AU version isn't censored (or at least there has been no mention at all of it being censored)

        • +1

No censoring in Australia. If there was (like Saints Row), we wouldn't be able to import and sell it :(

  • +1

What’s the likelihood that we will receive these on release day? Or will you guys experience "unexpected delivery delays"?

    • +1

Reasonably good. Depends what time our stock clears, and can pick it up at the airport. We've been able to do it for most major launches before :)

      • It will be quicker if they bring it carry on rather than having to wait at baggage collection.

  • Just so you know you could get Splinter Cell Blacklist for $60 in Big W Boxhill, well, it was that yesterday (22nd august) when i checked it. Just if anyone was thinking of getting it delivered, why wait, maybe all the big w's do it at that price.

  • Video Ezy, Blockbuster and Ezy DVD are all $62 delivered. But we all know you will probably wait 2 weeks to 2 months to get the game.

I see you that you guys get stock before release day - You are now officially the cheapest place to get 'GTAV'

  • Will playing the UK version of GTA in Australia cause any issues? I've heard of some imported games requiring the player to create a foreign PSN ID to do anything online.
