Thanks OP! have been wanting to get one of these since last summer and been waiting for some sort of discount! Thanks again!!

  • I recommend visiting a specialist dealer, because they have models that are slightly more expensive, but better value.

    Yes these are great BBQs.

    • The only other model i can see is the Q320, granted it has a bigger hood and electronic ignition, but for a difference of almost $120, i think the Q305 is better value.
It is a pity these "specialist" BBQ stores also tend not to give discounts on Weber BBQs anyways.

Thanks for posting the deal OP :)

      • The larger hood can be useful depending on what you are cooking. The Q320 also has a thermometer in the hood.

  • I just picked mine up! BBQ weekend!!

  • Hi Op
The post Tittle refers to " Weber Family Q Q305AU LPG " but the link Click through goes to "Weber Family Q LP Model BBQ" Can someone please clarify.
    Thanks.

    • They are the same.

  • Could someone tell me how nearly $600 for a single burner BBQ is justifiable? I'm generally curious how this could possibly be considered bargain as I am not a BBQ connoisseur, but I see all those really elaborate multi burner with side hotplate addons and temperature gauges for less than what this Webber costs.

I was curious about this also and did a quick google.

very positive reviews. In summary the reviews seem to consistently mention how good the food tastes

      • That's crazy. I wonder what the outcome would be for Webber if they had proper chefs use theirs and also the much cheaper ones then have people blind test the food. They would probably go out of business!

        • Normal people use it to get good results with little effort. There are a lot of people who think it is worth the money. And it has 2 burners. Why would you get chefs to cook the food when the intention is for it to be used by normal people.

Forced placebo effect. It costs a lot so it must
        be good right?

They are basically an iBBQ from apple.

    • quality quality on both (the product and the cooked food) I had mine for 8 years .

    • I've had the Q220 for a few years. A couple of points:

      • The 'single burner' goes all the way around the grill, so it heats up very evenly and (apart from the right at edges) doesn't have any cold/hot spots.

      • The same single burner is extremely gas efficient. The way I use, I probably get ~ 3x more usage out of a gas cylinder than I did with my old BBQ.

      • Much easier to clean than other BBQ's I've had.

      • Transportable

Hope this helps a bit more than the generic 'it tastes great' reviews.

  • OK Update everyone,

Weber Family Q 320 was rated as 88% in other words number 2 on the Choice Magazine survey

You can't see the results without the membership but looks like it is highly recommended by Choice. IN case you are wondering No.1 is also a weber.

  • Hey guys. Just a question, with this discount I can get the weber baby q 100 for $238, as opposed the specialist version of the q100 is $299.
Now I rang up a specialist BBQ to find out the difference and basically the guy said the only real difference is the thermometer which apparently makes all the difference. He said I can get a good aftermarket thermometer for about $50.
Now I want your opinions, does having a inbuilt thermo. Really make a massive difference like this guy claimed? He said when cooking without thermo u don't know what the temp. Is inside and can't adjust ( like turn it up or down) accordingly.
Mind you it's about $60 difference between the normal and special version. Which is a fair bit. What u guys think?

Mind you the only other differences was that the special version had a higher lid so u can cook a roast ( but the BBQ will only be used for cooking 2-3 steaks at a time or 2-3 chickens and that's it - could use it for breakfast, but surely I don't need a higher lid for that?) and also that it had a continuous ignition system which the guy said to be honest isn't that big of a deal ( when compared to the standard version)

I have the standard lid and have cooked many roasts…… not huge sides of beef, or full grown turkeys, but average small roasts and it has been fine….
Never used a thermometer and am still alive…..

You'll need to buy some sort of plate to cook brekkie……

Forced placebo effect. It costs a lot so it must be good right?

I got the bbq free….. and I would definitely pay for another

  • Thank you OP!
