I don't have a fantastic knowledge of how iOS works, but aren't apps 'sandboxed' so that they can't interfere or read information from other apps/iOS system?

I'm not sure if this app could actually do anything which could constitute anything like "double your battery life".

    • double your battery life

Me to. But according to reviews, it will definitely increase your battery life.

Battery Saver may double your battery life if utilized properly.

    That is BS…

    • Every people are not smart like you jv :). It will help you to increase the battery life. Otherwise, it would not top rated in US & AU within 3 months.

too easy to achieve that. There are serveral promoition companies help to improve the ratings. They ask reviewers to buy the app, eg $1, write something about this app, finally give eg $1.5 back to reviewers. As I know, heaps of Chinese reviewers are earning money via this while the app rates are getting higher dramatcally.

it would not top rated in US & AU within 3 months.

that depends on how much they spend on marketing.

      That is BS…

Yes it it BS .. Battery Saver

  • Looks, sounds, reads, seems and probably is the same thing as this free app

I've installed it and it looks fairly good, it's got a reallocate memory feature that I don't buy at all. But it does give some useful info about some of the apps on your phone and how much power they consume, also gives some reasonable estimates on how long it will take to charge your phone and how long your battery will last using different apps and settings.

    Also tells you how to optimise battery life for example ;

Turning off location services will give an extra 1h 48mins of battery life.

Still I hate the battery in my current phone, the fact that it can't last 24 hours is pathetic and unless its addressed this may be my last iPhone.

  • Sounds like SBSettings options for non-jailbreakers with a few extra features.

If using apps reduce battery life, then……..

  • I also got this app. I have been using it for about a month now.

It has got a couple of "looks good" features such as memory optimiser, power consumption by app, battery projection…etc etc.

But I have a funny feeling that ever since I started using it my battery life seems to reduced a lot, because you have to run the app in background I suppose.

Can't argue with free. Worth a shot. I use my iphone5 for work, which means its constantly pushing emails, and I'm lucky if I get 10 hours out of it.

  • +1

best way to extend battery life is to reduce the screen brightness, turn non important apps location services off, turn push notifications off and change auto lock to 1min…

    • If it were up to apple then we wouldn't use our phone and then we would get great battery life. But whats the point in having an app store and features on a phone if we can't use them?

I should be able to get over 24 hours out of my phone from full charge with 6 hours of use including 1 hour talk and push emails every 15 minutes (18 hours standby) without having to worry about what apps are open. Whats the point of having a thin, nice looking phone when they can't get something as basic as the battery sorted?

Why don't Apple have 2 iPhone models out when they bring out new models, the first can be a thin one that's how they want to make it… Then a second one that's 5mm thicker with a big ass battery in it to power all the new features they want to give us.

Apple I know your reading this, get on to it!

A battery case is basically what you want with the bonus that you can swap between the fat phone with long battery life and the thin phone with limited battery life as is convenient.

      • Yes, got to love when people get fancy phones then turn off all the features ;-) At the very least why do we need an app when a $700 phone should have the battery saver features built in

  • +1

Running a power hungry overly graphical app will do nothing to extend your battery life.

  • Toss it out after a few of days. Wanted to make sure it was still draining quicker with the app on the second day, and at the end of the third confirming if the battery lasted longer without it.

At least for me, this app is worse than free. It's not just useless, it sucks battery.

I had another one I used and got rid of months ago which looked like the same logo but with a different colour battery.
