    Gopro has a shit battery life and this one will be worse. I had the gopro 3 black and got rid of it. I forked out $379 and they couldn't get something so simple right

      if you bothered to RTFM on the gopro you will find that the battery will get better after a few charges.

      i can get 2-3 hours easily out of my gopro? I consider that pretty good.

    Have you bought the one from aliexpress? I'm tossing up between this and the mobius. The sj1000 seems like a better deal considering you get a waterproof case for nearly the same money.

    Be careful about the cam from aliexpress.
    The description says SI1000, rather than SJ1000.
    So maybe it's a slightly inferior model?

    Speaking of which, the Kodak PlaySport Zx5 is a good option as well. It's water proof and drop proof (good for young kids which is why i got it). Got mine for around $100 delivered from the good guys. Dunno if they still have it though as i just checked and it's not there.

  Be careful of the 'cheap' action cameras, I purchased one from HN (AutoBarn, Supercheap and a few other places sell it also) on special from $139 to $89… it lasted a whole week.

  The lens became dislodged/melted/whatever and every single video looked severely blurred/unfocused, and considering these cameras are a sealed unit, it was unable to be fixed, so I got a full refund.

  I'm still yet to purchase a replacement. I wouldn't mind seeing a review on this Kogan action camera, from 'what's in the box' to a few decent runs of actual video footage.
