Got a flier in mail today, New Plus Fitness 24/7 gym is opening mid August in Mount Lawley, WA.
Opening special includes no joining fee + 1 free month + welcome pack valued at $50… whatever that is. Apparently total saving is $200.
A membership at New Plus Fitness 24/7 gives access to all New Plus Fitness gyms so even people not living close to Mount Lawley could benefit by joining there and then going to their local one.
(first post, be gentle :-) )
Edit:
- No contract
- $13 per week after first month
- free fitness assessment (this is usually free at all gyms)
Edit 2:
- Gym opens on the 28th August. The joining fee is waived until then.
- There is no admin fee.
- Standard joining fee after gym opens will be $99 (with discounts offered every now and then).
- If you cancel membership you will have to repay the joining fee.
- You can suspend your membership from 2 weeks up to maximum 3 months in a year.
- The "free classes" are a joke… there is a "fitness room" where you can do the classes yourself or with a friend (they do have personal trainers though).
- Once the free month is over the membership is paid on fortnightly basis. You can cancel/suspend at any time.
So can you quit after a month without penalty? or a you stuck with a long membership or high exit cost ???
