1kg Freshly Roasted Zimbabwe Coffee Beans $25.95 Inc. Australia Wide Delivery

130

Hi OzBargainers,
We've just got a new shipment of fantastic new beans in from Zimbabwe, where our chief roaster used to live and would love to share them with you for a great price.
For $25.95 including Australia-wide postage you'll get 1kg of single origin beans from the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe, all orders come packed in valved bags and are roasted to order and dispatched via courier.
These are premium grade beans, and while there are finer details on the link, a rough guide is that they're medium strength, great black or with milk, and have a unique acidity that leans more to cherry than the citrus style that is typical of an Ethiopian bean for example. A great way to try some unique delicious beans.
This Shipment is now out of stock due to an overwhelming response. We are due to have more sacks of this delightful coffee arriving in the next week or two and will keep you updated, thank you.

Good Price, will order and give it a try………is it coincidental that you promoting Zimbabwean coffee beans on the day of their national elections ?

Let's just hope its a good outcome for all. Sadly the coffee industry there's been reduced to next to nothing. But 10/10 for observation :)

Do they accept payment in Zimbabwe Trillion Dollar Notes

    • +3

I never forget being there taking empty suitcases to the money changer and then heading off afterwards to the supermarket…truly unique times.

      • If I buy some coffee and request an old trillion/billion dollar note, could you make this happen?

My favourite from my local roaster is Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. But it's almost $40 delivered for 1kg, so I'm more than willing to give this Zimbabwe a try, especially since I am almost out of the beans I got from the last Mana Beans special no ozb.

    • Look forward to you trying it salem.

  • Giving it a crack, although I'm not a fan of the bare website.
    Looks to be legit, barely!
Whois, ABN and Paypal align to the same name and an Australian (Victorian) address which is a good start.

    • Thanks for the feedback, as we go on in terms of range, we're looking to improve the look of the site and look forward to always bringing you some tasty beans to try.

    Hi there,
I just ordered, looking forward to trying the beans, thank you for the deal.

    • Its our pleasure, we're just happy to be able to bring it to you.

  • Is this bean suitable for making latte? I am almost out too, would love to try…

    • hi there, its great as a latte as the cocoa/malt tones become more apparent when used with milk. Also good as there's enough body to cut through the milk so the flavours don't get lost. I usually start my day having this bean as a cappuccino and it's great, so a latte would be tasty too.

    • Just ordered, thank you…

  • Bought. We've been asking the regular ozbargain roasters for decent 1kg shipped deals for what seems like forever.

So props to you for coming out swinging!

    • thank you, enjoy the beans, we'll be bringing you more to try soon as well.

  • Bought - was almost out of beans and BAM! this bargain comes along.

How would these go in a vacuum pot?

    • In a vacuum pot, there's a bit of variation in the flavour to say, if it was an espresso shot. The aroma's a touch earthier, and the flavours have that clarity that makes vacuum brewing so nice. The cherry acidity is still there, but it also has delicious malty cocoa tones that are a bit clearer when brewed this way.

      • Received my beans a few days ago - Will make a few grind variations and report back on my brew methods :)

  • Thank you!
Bought 1kg and we hope its a good one!
    All the Best

    • We'll do our best to give you a coffee to savour :)

  • Wow that was quick! walked into my office and the beans were there waiting for me. Well done, I'm surprised this delivery is still feasible/financially viable for a 1kg!

    • Wow I must say the couriers done a pretty good job, glad you got them in time for the weekend, enjoy :)

  • Hi, which courier do you use, i am still waiting for them to be delivered to Perth.

    • Hi,

Usually CourierPlease make the delivery/redelivery as hard as possible (though I understand them why). Not this time. Got my coffee on Thursday. Just wanted to say - your coffee is definitely deserve to be short listed in any shopping list.

    • Same. Couriers please were a nightmare last time they delivered something. But this time, sitting on my doorstep when I got home. Which is just how I like it with less than $50 items. Now just a few cups left of my old beans before I can try the Zimbabwe. :)

    • Thank you so much for your positive feedback, we've got some more tasty beans coming soon :)

  • Is it just me, or is there a lot of "chaff" with this roast? I'm not sure of the correct term, but I mean lots of small flakey bits in amongst the beans. Almost like the beans weren't washed properly before roasting.

My jura machine has a big disc in the grinder part that seems to collect any "chaff". I'm noticing about 10 times more "chaff" in this roast, than from the other roasters on here that I've been using past few years.

I've not seen any in my grounds.

      Hi stumo,
These beans are naturally slightly higher in chaff than a lot of other beans due to the way they're processed following being picked (washed, graded and generally sun dried, followed by six to eight weeks of conditioning.)as well as variations from batch to batch. This means that after roasting while all steps are taken to remove as much chaff as possible there may still be some present. Rest assured however this isn't a factor in the quality of the product or the flavour of the coffee itself as chaff is flavour neutral. Please feel free to message us if you have any more questions or queries :)

      • OK the second pour of beans from the bag is back to normal levels of chaff. Maybe most of the chaff had risen to the top of the bag during shipping and so it all came out at once in the first pour into the machine.
