This is no different to the PS Plus deal, its not free as you have to purchase Xbox Gold

  It's different - you keep the game (i.e. still can use it) even when your Gold lapses, unlike the PS+ ones.
  
  And also, unlike the PS+ deals, these are "vintage" games… they're all between 2-5yrs old, not like those newbie PS+ ones. Who wants games close to the release date, anyway? :-p
