Good price, but is still a hassle to go through the purchase, paypal checkout, etc when I have container full of paperclips sitting on my desk that work just as well (and don't have a sharp point that this one looks to have which seems quite dangerous to me)

    • +11

+1 on the paperclip, at least they have another use …. but then again you could blow iBubbles with these.

      • +3

It's a good thing sockpuppeting is illegal. iBubbles would be an awesome username.

        • +2

iLegal wants a word with you.

    • i dont think paper clips can fit in the tiny hole!! ….does it?

      • +1

which hole have you been hiding in?

  • +6

DEAL OF THE CENTURY. Just not in the century that I'm currently in.

    Why not paper clip?

    • -8

Paper clip might damage the mechanism in the phone. Plus the thickness of the paper clip might ruin the ejector hole.

      • +10

Doubt it. Especially since apple suggest the use of a paperclip too http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5163

        • Well, my experience with a 3GS had shown otherwise, but I always keep an ejector tool on my keychain anyway.

        • +16

          Correction: apple recommend an iPaperClip:

          • looks exactly like a paperclip but you can only use it with Apple branded paper.
          • once you bend it you void warranty
          • must now register your printer in itunes
        • +4

Forgot the part about it being designed to break after a year, so you'll buy the next model.

        • +3

yeah but the iPaperClip is way overpriced. Wait a few months and you can get some aftermarket ones that do the job pretty well.

        • Will iOS 7 support it?

        • I heard that the iPaperClip does not allow me to share music, and that it doesn't have the wifi's and bluetooth compatibility is an issue.

But I guess its much better looking than any other paper clip, i just have to buy it.

        • +5

the iPaperClip S is due for release soon

        • You can buy the wifi and bluetooth add-ons for just $49 each.

        • Still better than microsofts paperclip… Annoying since office97

  • Thank you.

  • -1

    even 1 @ 1c seems cheap.

    • it's 10c, not 1c

      • sorry, before it was edited it did not have the 0 in the figure. quick glance. still, its cheap

      • -1

        It's 5 for 10 cents.

  • Good Price…good….but to much hassle when using Paypal for $0.1

  • +5

Save 10c and a minute of your life, use a paperclip.

    • +4

      Who are you, Macguyver?

    • The hole slowly gets bigger if u use a paperclip or pin I have found, atleast with the old iphones.

      • -1

…not sure if you're using a metaphor or being literal.

        /dirty mind confused

      • there's gold to be found, continue digging

  • Is this just a money making business where the item is never shipped? If not then how can they afford to ship for 10c?

    • +1

      No, Banggood ships albeit slowly.

      It's call a promotion.

Many governments subsidise their countries' postal services, and so their bulk rates are very low. On the other hand, Australia Post is self-funding, receives no subsidy, and pays profit to the Australian Government as dividend. Our domestic letter rate (60 cents) is regulated, so Australia Post must hikes up premium services, overseas letter, and parcel rates to make up the difference. http://auspost.com.au/about-us/australia-post-increases-prof…

      • Would be nice if more public services were like this, so they can pay a dividend to improve society and benefit the taxpayers.

  • +1

+1 for the paperclip. There is no need for this meticulously crafted iPhone accessory if you already have access to a paperclip…

  • +1

    fancy toothpick~

  • The only paper clips I have are of the coated variety and don't fit :(

    • Remove the coating?

    • my paperclips dont fit either :( my clips are variations of the Gem type introduced in the 1890s or earlier, characterized by the almost two full loops made by the wire - the wire doesnt stick out on mine

  • Or for Nexus 4.

  • +1

Price is $0.12 AUD when you get to paypal checkout.

    • +4

I'm outraged by our current dollar rate. Just cost me another 2cents, my kid can't eat meat this week now.

  • I'm getting the message
    The coupon has been used!
    Has it expired?

  • Give me one reason why "normal user" would need these?
Doesn't sim-card get inserted when you first time use ur phone (when correct tool clip is there.)….then the NEXT TIME would be when you upgrade your phone?

Mine stayed in there for 1 year until i have to replace it due to oversea sim-card usage.

    • I know in my wife's case the salesman (read: idiot) that sold her the phone insisted on opening the box and installing the SIM card, he then dropped her SIM card tray opener in a draw. He didn't like that I didn't want him to open mine but no doubt he would've done the same thing.

I don't know if he had some weird black market SIM card tray opener racket going or what but I thought it was annoying (my wife let it go I would've made him give it back).

      • He sold them to banggood, 5 for 8 cents!

  • What on earth is a 4Gs? They meant 4s, I normally use my safety pin, a lot more effient to use.

  • Or paper clips work?

  • +8

    That's Father's Day sorted. Thanks

    • correction: that's five father's days sorted.

This tread just reminds me of how half the time, I'm just browsing the site reading all the entertaining comments :)

    • There correct word is……thread !

  • Amen, to not using a paperclip on a 3GS, can do a lot of damage.

  • the ends of a paperclip are sharp

    • Be careful you don't cut yourself.

  • +1

I don't even have an iPhone, but I don't think I could turn down a meticulously crafted piece of metal.

  • +3

    I use my wife's earings

    • LOL

  • i paid $1 for 2 the other day :'(

  • you can just use a pin/sewing needle/brooch pin/back of earring/paper clip/thumbtack/push pin etc etc

    • I use my fingernail
