Sony Pro 13" for $1200~ is a much better buy IMO. -haswell, intel 4400, FullHD, touchscreen, better build + design
where can I get this for $1200~
flingshot - http://flingshot.com.au/ with birthday coupon
Agreed, Sony is a MUCH better buy. I got one as well.
JB HiFi - 1250 with a bag - check the thread on whirlpool
Specs look great except for the screen resolution.
The monitor on this laptop is very wobbly and flexible. It wont break, but it will piss you off if your typing on anything but a solid table. Also need to be typing softly too. Try it out at DSE or binglee or GG or where you can have access to one before buying.
I tossed it up between that and an Asus UX ultrabook. and because of that i went with asus.
TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.
Speaking from personal experience this is a fantastic laptop,I bought this one about 12 months ago from jb hifi, paid $1100 for it then and its only i5,so this is a good laptop at a great price…
Best part about it is it is so light, its truly portable and can be moved from room to room with ease.
It has never lagged and I have never had to reboot it in the time I have had it.
Works perfectly, wish this deal was around then.Yep I got the i5 one as well approx 6 months ago in clearance for $880. I think it's amazingly light and fast! Would definetly buy this if I was looking at upgrading ;@)
Paid $764 for the i5 version with 128GB SSD. Got it last September when HN did 40% off RRP. Great bank for buck!
Keyboard takes some getting used to, but the speed and weight are amazing. I don't see myself upgrading to anything else for several years yet.
I did upgrade it to 10GB RAM though - no swapping ever again… Was easy enough after waiting 4 weeks for a special screw driver off Ebay.
If it was full hd I'd totally buy it!
