  The 40-pack is actually Quantum tabs+Baking Soda (in the tablets). Good idea to use the ones with Baking Soda ?

  I bought a box of Glissen from the Reject Shop a few days ago. You get 50 tablets for $3 (they're clearing them out, were $5). I tried them (admittedly once only), and they seem to be ok. At 6c a wash, it's a little cheaper than the Quantum Powerball.

  My findings were as follows,

  • The plates, breakfast bowls and soup bowls were all washed perfectly. There was a little bit of spotting on them, but I had to look hard to see it.
  • The cutlery was washed very well, except for three spoons - which was just plain odd. The cutlery had more noticeable spotting on it, but the rest of the cutlery was perfectly clean.
  • One pyrex glass dish came out perfectly. No spotting, clean as a whistle.

  Let me put it this way, at 5x cheaper, these leave Quantum powerball for dead for the price.
  If you're a perfectionist, then go for quantum - they're definitely the most expensive, and do a slightly better job. Also, it's not just the cost of the tablets, there's also the water and electricity.

  Note: I've only conducted one test.

    Yeh what's the big deal about Quuantum? I get the regular finish ones from Shiploads for around 17c

  Are these products designed for the Australian market or are they parallel imports.

  I bought some Finish tablets from the Reject shop last year and they don't work as well as the Finish I have purchased at the supermarkets.
