A colleague at work's son is buying a Macbook Air. He's only 12, but saved up to buy it. However, having saved for a while, he's now pretty eager to pull the trigger.
Does anyone know of anyone with them on sale at the moment? Any 10% sales due this weekend that we know of?

Unfortunately, student pricing is only for tertiary students, not high school. Just wondered if anyone know if anywhere (Myer/DJs, etc) were having a sale on atm.
Based on my experience buying a macbook air online, apple didnt check that I was enrolled in a tertiary institution when I used student pricing to buy it (it was for my GF who actually is a tertiary student).
I bought it in my name, delivered to my work address, using my gmail account. So yeah… could be an avenue?
Just ask at MYER for 10% off: they'll usually do it.

When I bought my Macbook Pro. There were no discount at the time. I walked into TGG and ask if they can do 10% off and they did. Pretty easy.

anyway there are often a lot of 10% off sales at Dick Smith, JB etc… You could always wait but you can try asking for 10% off which may work
which model are you after in particular?
