haven't checked it out as youtube is blocked at work buta lot of these articles seems to be poor excuse for internet journalism. i read an article which listed "hiring a designer bag for $40 a month instead of buying one " as a way to save money.

Didn't watch the whole video but the tips they were giving seem pretty much like common sense.

Get a mortgage with the lowest interest rates

Use a low interest credit card if you need to use one.

Having a savings account without fees.

Yep, these tips are all common sense but sometimes it makes me wonder some people that I know are too lazy to chase up the best mortage/personal/saving account rate around. Even if I explain to them how much they can save by switching to a different mortgage provider, they won't care lol.
