Purchasing Mac

Where is the best place to purchase a mac? I am a student, I am confident Apple has a percentage off the total but is there any other offers out there? Dicksmith sometimes has a 10% off but is there cheaper alternatives?

looking for 27" i5 model.

    the only mac to be updated to the newest intel is the AIR and waiting for a 10% off day gives a bigger discount than using the student discount from apple (website, store or via price match), the downside is you cant customise a mac, you have to buy the standard one. so if thats a problem your screwed.

    however, new macs means discontinued models call refurbished on the apple website, lastgen AIR are prefectly acceptable IMO as long as the discount is more than the 10% you can save waiting for dicksmith/jbhifi ect

    so, student discount and i think you can customise a laptop instore
    10% off sales, you save more than student discount
    look at the refurbished mac's on the apple website store

    and enjoy, its a mac after all

    Build a real PC you can actually upgrade that isn't heavily marked up because of a shiny logo.
