Mark your calendars for July 16 - Ubisoft’s critically-acclaimed “Assassin’s Creed II” will be the next game featured in the Xbox Live “Games with Gold” program. Normally 1600 Microsoft Points, “Assassin’s Creed II” can be downloaded on Xbox 360 for free by Xbox Live Gold members between July 16 and July 31. After you download it, it is yours to keep.

    Damn it wish I got the deal when they were giving the first one out for free too. Always wanted to play the franchise but it does look a bit repetitive. (Also heard that too)

      I preferred AC2 due to the time period, and I'm not much looking forward to all the ship battles in Black Flag.. Hope there are only as much as what was in AC3 (when you include all the side missions… which I completed because AC is the best franchise of this generation).

    I can't believe Xbox gamers are all excited for this LOL. Playstation Plus has been giving away free games since its creation years ago, those games have always been recent and with a 70+ metacritic score. They were NEVER 4 year old games. Microsoft REALLY needs to step up their offerings if they want to compete with PS+. For example, June 2013: Uncharted 3. July 2013: Battlefield 3, Payday: the heist, Saints Row 3.

      Agreed. MS really doesn't understand loyalty very well. Hopefully they step up because in terms of free games, it's not even competitive - Sony obliterates MS. Just do a search of what PSN has offered compared to Xbox Live. Even if Xbox released Halo 3 for free, it doesn't scratch the surface of what PS gives out.

      The strange thing is, based on previous posts, if you were to post those above games as a bargain you would get negged "good value subscription service but not a real bargain" etc. Yet 1 very old game and there's 43+ and counting? I dunno, I think people have become too used to being bent over by Microsoft that they get over excited when offered something that's comparatively mediocre.
