Those who missed out on the deal for Hellfire duck down jackets for $75. The deal is back but only online and ~$3 cheaper. I think only blue ones are now available.

oops like I have see any up close hehe, will try changing it.
is it still worth it?
I would have not idea about goose vs duck down.I've never used one but I think if you're going to Antartica you'll want goose down, if you'll be in Australia it probably doesn't matter.
Edit: goose down is known to be one of the warmest materials per weight on earth. Duck down is less warm.
Duck down plucked by brave volunteers from the fearsome 'power' duck! (apparently)
it is also 500 loft. still a decent deal for a down jacket.
Macpac has a 600 loft jacket for $99That means nothing if you don't know how much down is in the jacket.
The amount of down is much more important. There should be a fill weight on the label. In simple terms, for the same type of fill, loft is a measure of the relative volume of down present but if you're comparing different products you might be confused. This is as good an explanation as you'll get on loft and fill: http://www.ems.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=11618162
+1 and columbia conveniently never provide it
macpac's is 205g white duck down
http://www.macpac.com.au/mens/jackets/halo-jacket-m.htmlloft or fill power is a warmth/weight efficiency rating
i bought one last time, so i paid $75? wow i forgot completely.
now thinking maybe its bit too expensive, maybe ok for $50note not was $250 as before but now was $99.95 :)
Only s and l available in blue
Anyone know how the sizing is like on these?I tried one at there kent street store. If it doesnt fit then I would probably drop by again and exchange :-)
It's duck down :-)
