Even at 12pm when it first started the Kayano's were all sold out except for the size 13. Old stock from 'last units standing' dept because when I last looked there a week or so back they only had size 13 there too.
one of the most overpriced shoes is this ASICS brand, they are all from China mostly though, not worth it!

dunlop volleys any day of the week!!
I have yet to try them but Sketches shoes have some pretty good reviews. They are supposed to be very comfy and light but don't last too long. Probably the perfect shoe for a beginner runner.

you can try to find some low cost shoes from New balance. They do have a broad range of shoes in terms of price, but the low end shoes are also good
