Thanks Apate. I hesitated for a while and then thought OK time to Click POST :D

      • Well we are glad you did! And you got you're First Post Wonder badge too :)

      • Nice job jyoti. Only tip I can give is to add the store name to the end of the title (as the Title Guidelines mention) so people that only read the titles know where it's from eg. I follow OzBargain through the RSS feeds & don't see the store name in the title or description.

You tipped me over the edge. Bought it…. again.

  • Still got some $1 4GB Harvey Norman sticks in packaging.. Do i need more? lol

      Yes

      buy now think later

    • Almost impulse bought this deal, then looked at my stash of HN sticks not getting used.
      Although, 8GB…

      • it is, windows usb don't require anything above 4gb and any other important stuff you have you wouldnt stuff them in multiple usb sticks anyway

    • …but these go up to 11…

  • For comparison it's about $6 for 1 on ebay. So this deal is like buy 1, get one free.

why does their sale page show it as 2 for $5?
    http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/storesale.php

    • Gotta email and ask for my $1 back. :)

    • possibly instore price and $1 for shipping online

      • yeah, that looks to be the case

    • I think thats In-Store purchase only so looks like they are charging $1 delivery for online purchases.

    • That's only for the sunshine store. Look near the top of the page. there's a bunch of tabs.
      Look here for online stuff
      http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/eofysale.php

      • ah, that banner didnt load initially

      • looks like folks in bundoora and geelong are rich paying them at $10!

the ones that get $5 are

        hawthorn, clayton, sunshine, bendigo

too much discrepancy for a centrecom sale, ppl would be pricematching centrecom against centrecom ><

      • NETGEAR D6200-100AUS AC-1167 DUAL BAND MODEL ROUTER
        $239.00
        Was $219

        Seeing it's cheaper elsewhere @ $229, I'll take 3.

    • That's at their physical store: Sunshine

  • Ordered. Ta.

  • How long does it take for it to arrive? I couldn't find it on the website.

    • +1

No idea but for 6 bucks, im happy to wait 2-3 weeks for it to arrive from Melbourne to Sydney

  • +3

    Bought two, don't know why.

Thanks OP, I ordered some. Paid the extra 6 cents for freight insurance too. Two bargains I could not resist :)

  • got 1, hope these usb are good

    • Toshiba suggests good…

      Always wonder if they're -genuine- Toshiba… ;-/
(I do it for all products, these days… so,
I do -not- wish to cast aspersions on vendor)

  • SOLD OUT!
    12:xx am AEST

  • sold out as i was registering an account. FUrrrrrrr

    • Beat me to it….. All gone.

    • This happened to me as well! You snooze you lose I guess :(

  • Oh dam, I only left ozbaragin for a hour, and this happens, need to stay on 24/7 ._.

So, buy 10x 8GB sticks from OfficeWorks
& come close in price ($5.50); might be
      USB 3.0, if you're lucky… ('dunno…)

  • I think these USB 2.0 devices may
be useful for -inside- USB 2 ports
    of HP MicroServers N36L & N40L

    • Gotta get me one of those too.

  • Any decent 16gb or 32gb USB 3 deals around?

  • sleep is ovverated :(

  • The annoying thing is that it says 'online stock available', …

  • Wonder if these Toshiba 8GB flash drives are any better than the crappy Toshiba 4GB that were sold from HN. Apparently the Toshiba 4GB flash drives are rather poor slow and unreliable. How do these compare.

  • I resisted the urge to buy and won!!! when they ran out of stock all thanks to my fellow ozbargainers.

  • .

  • Piece of crap. False advertising!

Only does 4MB/s writes! Not the stated 16.8MB/s. Shame on you.

    • That's what I thought but then I realised that it doesn't say 16.8MB/s sustained. If you write a 50MB file, it does get close to that figure.

      • Yea same, for small files it gets to 18MB/s sometimes, but for large files it's around 4MB/s.

        • +2

In other words, piece of crap. My Kingston from 3 years ago does over 12MB/s sustained.

That 18MB/s is due to Windows cache, this is piece of crap.
