these are great if you use flash carts, if you screw up the flash card by updating your DSi/3ds or do somehting wrong you can fix it using this
A preowned PSP is also great value under $50. Cheap games, better graphics and easily hacked for emulation fun.
Not sure why everyone overlooks the PSP over the DS?I love my PSP, but always find the DS more conveinient to carry around and use. If these were Dsi or DS XL I'd be all over this, but DS lite is still a very capable device for official games and retro emulation etc.
DS Lite has far better battery life than the Dsi not sure on Dsi XL. However screen responsiveness i found was better on the Dsi
I got both the dsi xl and the ds lite and I'm pretty sure the xl dominates the lite in battery life.

its still a pretty damn hard thing to emulate the experience, what with the 2 screens and touch and all, while there are ones that work great out there, it just doesnt feel right.
If you are in Melbourne, I saw a couple of DS lite in DJ Bourke st last week for $49 brand new and a Dsi xl for $89.
Not a bad price!! Very tempting!
