  • I personally have no experience with this product but read the reviews online. Apparently the fan used is a cheap one that can break down within a year, sometimes less.

    • I found the fan on mine to be too noisy (when watching a movie) and the unit makes the water too cold. it doesnt use too much electricity but I turned mine off anyway.
So its a bit of a waste.
otherwise it does a decent job of filtering the chlorine smell out of the water…
FYI bought from costco cheaper than this deal 13 months ago.

    • My parents have had a couple of these, and you're right - they're fairly average. Both died after around a year of use (stopped chilling, fan became noisy). Also if they're still pump powered (to fill up the glass that is) then it's worth noting that the pumps aren't quiet - even through closed doors at night you could hear when people were getting a glass of water, to the point that they stopped using it after people had gone to bed.

      • these are gravity fed, so no noise from that.
the fan is naturally noisy (high airflow) I'd imagine for the peltier to work.
so no pump and no compressor to be noisy.

  • we don't use the chiller hence not powered and they are great to filter the water rather then using the jugs. Can hold more water. It also look great on display. But yes, lots of review on the fan giving up.

  • My mum bought me one over a year ago, and in the past few months the fan inside has become excessively noisy. Thought it was just my one, but good to heard that others are also having the same issue.

Looking at buying a better quality water filter chiller soon

  • I own one of these, nearly 3 years old and still going strong. I thought the spout would eventually drip but no so still happy with it.

Paid $125 for it at Big W back then so this is good value. It is gravity feed and the fan that assists in the cooling is quiet enough. The blue light at the front lights up the kitchen at night.

  • I bought one from Masters hardware a few months ago, $85 was the normal shelf price.
Its ok, but like others have said, if you plug it in the fan gets really loud
