I've spent over 20 hours playing it and I picked it up for $5 Thats more hours than I've gotten out of some of the much more expensive titles and there is still more replay value there. Highly recommend the game.
I'd rather an enjoyable game with average graphics than an average game with good graphics.
This was originally a Kickstarter project with a 10k goal. Granted they achieved 200k but its still not enough for next-gen graphics with a handful of people. Gameplay beats graphics any day anyway

It's a very ignorant statement to make that a game has to include 'great graphics' to even be considered contemporary. Depth and how memorable those experiences are is what makes good gaming.
A game that prioritises 'good graphics' at the expense of everything else is easily forgotten in the long run.

Grab FTL if you're into roguelikes, and look into Rogue Legacy if you're a fan of Castlevania/Metroid-esque gameplay. It's currently $5 cheaper if you pre-order, but I didn't feel it was a good enough deal to post.

Just played this game all afternoon thanks to this offer. Frustrating and addictive.
Well worth getting. I've clocked up 40 hours on this one and it is still fun to fire up once in a while when you want a relaxing and yet challenging game to wind down with.

Certainly a good price considering its Steam redeemable. Shame I struggled to get into it :(
