People selling products with claimed health benefits can always be relied upon to entertain!

    On 'Traditional High-Speed Juicers':

    • "They also have high-speed blades that rip apart the nutrients and enzymes destroying nutrition."

    Gold! Comedy gold!

Protip, OP: A good salesman doesn't need to knock the other guy's product to sell his own.

    • OMG blades that mechanically tear apart molecular bonds. If I make one fast enough maybe we can split atoms!

This "sale" appears to be going the wrong direction. If it's truly a stocktake sale, that means you want to get rid of excess stock. Doesn't make sense.

That said you still provide the cheapest prices in the market but there aren't many players in the market.

Thanks Neil. Was about to take a plunge. Think I might wait for a better deal now. Appears previous sales were significantly cheaper.

  • I want to buy one of these,
but will they grind up beef bones or sandstone ?

      one word: blendtec.

i must be doing it wrong, my teeth crushes the vitamins and my mouth produces the heat and my stomach acid destroys the precious nutrients.

    • Thats the point. These are masticating juicers. They chew food like your teeth would without heating the product.

Try and chew a bag of carrots, a head of broccoli and a bunch of celery by yourself. This makes it into 2 cups of juice.

Check out the Gersen therapy which specifically calls for one of these types of machines.

Aren't they one of those "we can cure any ill" scam companies that charge thousands of dollars per month to essentially sell you juice and multivitamins?

EDIT From the wiki article on Gersen Theraphy:

Gerson's therapy has not been independently tested or subjected to randomized controlled trials, and thus is illegal to market in the United States.[1] The Gerson Institute promotes the therapy by citing patient testimonials and other anecdotal evidence.[13] Gerson published a book discussing the alleged success of the therapy in 50 patients, but a review by the U.S. National Cancer Institute was unable to find any evidence that Gerson's claims were accurate. Similarly, several case series by Gerson Institute staff published in the alternative medical literature suffered from significant methodological flaws, and no independent entity has been able to reproduce the claims.

and you are saying drinking juice is better than eating the veges/fruits whole? that's some science! (lol)

the way you are saying, the machines does is chewing it and then spits it out for you to drink? lol.

i see a target market for these products, poor old toothless people. Because the rich ones will hire a sexy model to do their chewing for them. ;)

        <rant>
if this product was advertised as an alternative to high speed juicers, maybe I'm okay with it.. but overall, i'm sick of people who promote drinking juices. just eat the goddamn fruit! you are born with figging teeth and you are too precious to chew?

that's why you lots are getting constipated all the figging time! because you guys don't eat the fibre, so you end up needing the 'cleansing'!

I reckon Neo is better known and better quality in the $400 range http://search.appliancesonline.com.au/search#w=oscar%20neo (let the matrix jokes ensue)

    • Agree with oscar neo…juices, minces, makes pasta.
Better for hard fruits n vegies…if you use a soft fruit/veg eg kiwi, need to chase it with a hard one eg carrot
