what you think about buying new item with low features / specs or used item with high features / specs( may have some problem) if they both have the same price or close to each other?
Such as brand new galaxy s3 or used galaxy s4.
Or brand new iPhone 4S or used iPhone 5
I usually prefer used item with high features, I feel I saved a lot but I don't really like the idea it have been used :p
With technology, I most likely would choose the higher spec secondhand item than a new item of lower specs. But be choosy in terms of condition. In the long run it will probably have better resale value too.
Personally, I would never buy anything in regards to technology used apart from DVDs.
Even if it was a $100 used iPhone 5 I still wouldn't take it.

I'm curious, can you explain what is it about a secondhand item that makes it so unattractive to you.
The previous owner might have installed Cerberus for free from the recent deal and now tracks your location, takes photos of you and sets off the alarm at random times of the day?

I tend to buy the third option, lower features and lower price (e.g. Galaxy s3 mini in this example) and will happily by used things that aren't in intimate contact with my skin.
For IT/phones/games etc. waiting 6-12 months makes all the difference.
