Lisa Ho has recently gone into administration, and seems to have drastically reducted the prices on some clearance stock, including a lot of eveningwear, online. Warehouse sale ends 10 PM 13th June, although there appear to be great prices on other non warehouse sale stock with no time limit.

Some great dresses here for any ladies looking for a cheap but well designed/made wedding dress from a top end Australian designer - found my wedding dress here reduced from $1,400 to $100 (!).

          Considering what retail is experiencing worldwide (especially those of which decide to produce locally), it's not unreasonable that quality stores can fail, too. Nothing amusing about that.

    Think I will stick to shopping my local op shop. I find that kind of shopping far more enjoyable than spending $967 on a t-shirt. Thanks tho.

    Tried other ways to view via google cached and stumbled upon her ebay (I presume this is hers)

    It looks like the prices have been discounted on there as well! Funny enough, the smaller the sizes the more expensive they are….

  • Found a cute dress for $50, can't get the checkout to work. Waste of time unless the site improves.

  • The site is truly being OzBargain'd. Been trying to checkout for the past 20 minutes, no success. The dress isn't on the ebay store either

    • Same, I'm giving up. Figure it's some higher power telling me that in all likelihood the dress won't fit LOL.

  • Finally got thru after refreshing for more thousand times for nearly 4 hours!!

  • I've been trying for the last few hours. The site seemed like it decided to speed up a bunch in the last 5 minutes and managed to checkout. (Previously was using Chrome and Firefox which messed up on the 'next step' button after details. Switched to Opera, only one tab open, clicked everything slowly and it managed to go through). Most likely it was due to people going to bed though as opposed to browser change.

    Also I used the 'make account' button at the top separately from the checkout process if that helps anything (it opens an in screen pop up to type in details). The first time I got to the details page, the enter password field was greyed out and couldn't do anything. Maybe it was just the site being slow at the time but that's how I got around it.

    At checkout it said one of the items was not in stock so I had to manually remove it and repeat to the process which went smoothly. So I assume the other items in my cart are stock.

  • Ordered. It decided to go through once it was past midnight. Before that tried for over 3 hours! Bargain prices.

  • Bought 2 dresses! It says that returns and exchanges are not applicable for sale items! So lets hope they fit and actually look good on me.

        Ummm i think you cut out the part which says: *Refunds & exchanges are not applicable on sale or promotional items.'

        Also if you look at the sale area, at the top of the screen it says: *No Refunds & exchanges on sale or promotional items.'

    seriously, now we know why her biz fails. If she was more serious about her biz and put up a better website that actually worked, we wouldn't be here. #frustrated#

    • While yes it's absolutely frustrating, I highly doubt many store websites can stand up to being 'ozbargained'. Putting the horse before the cart claiming the website is the reason the store failed when the site unlikely was designed to handle that much traffic since they probably never intended to have dresses at 95% off to begin with.

      It comes with the territory of ozbargain, the better the deal, the more likely you're going to miss out because everyone else is trying to jump on it.

      My guess is their high prices had some part in it.

    • I haven't received that email BUT one of my orders that I paid for shows as $0 paid (even though my payment went through yesterday) and the item is back in my cart and I am able to pay for it again. Do you think this means the order was cancelled?

      Are the items that were out of stock back in your cart for purchase again due to whatever glitch it is? :((

  • 5 Items in cart at time of checkout. Had to remove one at checkout (manually) because it was out of stock. 4 items got processed, one of which received the glitch email. 3 Dress are apparently in the mail. 2 Turtle doves and a partridge in a gum tree.

    Guess I lucked out and it wasn't a total waste smashing the refresh button for a few hours trying to get it through. So still a positive from me.

  • Everything on its way, new items keep getting added and without a buyer and the company being closed down, you might want to consider revisiting regularly.

    A bit dirty with a few stains and the straps are a bit long, but hey, at 90% off, I'll just offer take it into the tailors followed by the dry cleaners.

    P.S I never told her Lisa Ho had the 90% off sale. She just thought I offered to buy her a $1300 dress :D

  • Items came today. Had an item cancelled but still received two items.

    Despite spending over $100, I have had $10 shipping added on.

      Yes, it happened to me also - 3 items originally ordered, 1 cancelled, but shipping added to the revised invoice. Have queried via email, and note that Lisa Ho is also very active on Facebook, so that might be a good communication medium to try.

    Be careful with their eBay account (which doesn't have any stock now). Did not send out the dress to me and did not even message me about the stock glicth until after I send them a message (past the delivery time frame). Did not cancel my transaction and refund my money via Paypal, have escalated the case to Paypal. Please beware if you purchased through eBay that they actually process the refund.
