Am I missing something, or is this just the standard price of $0 with the same $4.99 postage and handling fee?

  • +7

you still have to pay for shipping.

  • not a deal you have to pay for shipping

Think they have pick up option?

    • +1

      lol pickup?

This is the same price everyday. $0 + $4.99 (each!) shipping.

    • FYI Kogan doesn't offer shipping

this is just the standard price of $0 with the same $4.99 postage . would be could if they'd wave it so i can try it.

not a deal since it is a free sim since day one and you pay for the shipping.

I have been using it for a few months now and the service is pretty good (telstra network, so yeah).

    Isnt this a dupe anyways

OP: shipping price in title!! Not a free deal.

  • +1

    has always been $0 + $4.99 (Delivery).

    Not a bargain!

  • $14 for 3 of them, not free

Demand for Kogan Mobile SIM cards has been so overwhelming that we are struggling to produce them as as fast as people are being forced off the network due to 'high usage'.
As a result, there is currently a 6-8 week waiting period to receive a Kogan Mobile refund (if we are kind enough)

Not a deal- give us free shipping and its one!

Yeah, I was waiting for two months to get my sim card. "Demand for Kogan Mobile SIM cards has been so overwhelming", this is so ironic!

  • total cost of free item.. $4.99… am i missing something??

  • +1

kogan sucks, that waiting time is ridiculous.

Another dubious Kogan deal…Not a good deal.

  • I'm one of those who ordered and waited more than a month for the sim to arrive. This was just very recently. And yes, the sim has been free for a very long time now.

As others have indicated - unless Kogan are refunding the 'shipping' - this is the everyday offer. Mods may wish to leave the 'deal' up for a bit so more people get to understand what's involved with Kogan Mobile.

Received my sim in the mail today, almost 5 weeks to the day since order placed.
Started this forum thread at time of order.
Turns out that $18 will see the sim arrive quickly.

Even this far down the track since the service began I believe Kogan is continuing long 'regular' order mailout times so as to to minimise dramatically the total number of extra staff he needs to take on to manage the service.
I've decided not to activate my sim immediately, so others can comment further about the 'service' - or lack thereof - encountered.

Stumbled across this (today): http://blog.prepaidplans.com.au/2013/06/kogan-mobile-review/ . Worth a read.

Actually I don't believe the shipping delays are related to staff reasons…the $18 surcharge more likely the reason.

  • Ordered one Feb 18th, still hasn't arrived. Don't think it's even shipped yet.

    • Pretty fair to say at this point that your order isn't going to turn up without some chasing up.

  • Not a bargain, this is everyday pricing

  • Does anyone know if the 100 free minutes work in any country? Or just Australia?

  • sorry no bargin here…

  • Even worse, if you order 2 sims, it's $10 postage….3 sims $15 postage.
    What a scam!

But since this is the normal price since it's launch, it's not a bargain, it's an Ad
