    That's because you haven't clicked through past the part where you say you want it shipped to Australia and have shipping calculated - at that point the VAT comes off.

  Would it (most likely) be cheaper for me to buy this and then try and sell my old launch aqua blue 3ds or try and trade it in to EB and get a 3ds XL from them?

    I'd say keep both. You need your original AC adapter anyway, so having both is worthwhile.

    I talked to EB last week and they said the trade in value of a regular 3DS was only $70, which brings the price of an XL down to $170 ish. I'd say it's not worth it.

  By the way, I got an email from Nintendo Australia yesterday saying that if you buy a 3DS XL (from Australia), you can redeem one of six games via download for free. The games are first party Nintendo titles, including Luigi's mansion, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, etc…. something to consider, especially as most of these games are about $50.

      You are right. I misread the email to say 'includes 3DS XL'. But it actually explicitly was excludes 3DS XL. That is weird. Maybe they are trying to clear out the older model.

    Not at the moment - gateway 3ds comes out this month for $80 usd
    and its a 1-1 cart meaning you can only play one game at a time.

  Hey guys, just registered my MH3U Pal edition and got another copy of the game. Is there anyone here who has a game code download they want to swap, or possibly a unused club nintendo card they could give over for me to register :)? only issue is you need to register a 3DS / XL from june 5th to July 31st to claim MH3U thats all, if anyone is willing please let me know, thanks!
