I highly recommend two other apps, Wakelock Detector
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.w…

or Better battery stats (free via XDA forums)
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.be…

    • Do you mean you recommend them over this app?

Those 2 apps will show you more information than this app.
BatterStats is more for "power users" since it provides information that is fairly difficult to decode and understand, but Wakelock detector is an excellent app which shows you what apps are causing your device to wake and go out of sleep mode (eating battery life)

  • amazon always tells me "You are not eligible to purchase this app due to geographical restrictions." How does everyone else get around this?

    • I thought I was getting that simply because I am travelling overseas at the moment. I purchase from a desktop browser and it works fine, they then appear in my "cloud".

      • Well now I managed to install the appstore for amazon which seems very unstable and is also in German, But I am now able to download the apps…

"The precise battery level is displayed in 1% increments"

android has done that since at least gingerbread.

  • I installed Greenify and it solved all the problems I was having with battery. i.e. My phone staying awake due to certain apps misbehaving in the background. It's simple and works wonders. But you'll need to be rooted.

    • I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, but quick question, have you or anyone you know rooted a Sony phone? And if you did, how did it go? My bf wants to root mine, but I'm too scared he'll break it :(

  • My Ainol Novo Elf 2 tablet android battery meter always shows 100%, and then will shut down suddenly when the battery has run out. When charging the tab it will display 99% and charging.
I thought with this app I could actually see what the battery % really was, but it justs replicates what the android os already displays, 100% all the time. >:-(
Need to get a new rom.

  • Amazing that people bother with these silly apps.

Woo Hoo… except that all Android and iOS devices show the battery level - this is inbuilt.

And these "Battery Apps" read the Battery level from Android or iOS… and show the battery level. And some stats. Impressive for noobs perhaps, but the user has no way of knowing if the info is accurate… and it doesn't actually change anything anyway.

Alternative solution is to recharge when you battery is running low. ROFL.

    • True, but I do like how it shows Temprature, Voltage/Current, Health, and Technology (type).
