  @misslisa1979 - I'm gonna get neg'd for being a lazy whinger, but do you want to take these weekly posts to the next level? Add in a note on RRP and ITunes Rating Score for each app…as it is, who is going to click through 17-20 links when most are mediocre apps?

    Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately iTunes ratings and reviews are not always accurate because developers have a tendency to have their friends and family members leave ratings and reviews, and these can also be bought in bulk (heaven forbid!).

    Next week I will add the RRP of each app to my post. I try very hard not to include any mediocre apps in the list :)

  Noobies question.. as i managed to snap $350 ipad yesterday.. is there any way you can click and it will install over the air for the ipad?? seems to need itunes??? i mean, is there a way to go to these apps site, click and it will install automatically into you ipad? i am able to do this with android as well as purchase book from amazon, there must be a simple way to buy these apps right??

  some of these apps about 50 - 100mb in size, my lowly computer will be full before i even load this to ipad.. any help appreciated

    just click on the links above on Your ipad, It will open apps store. then click on the "free" button if the apps is free

    It would be helpful to the developer if you let them know what device and OS you are using it on. I haven't had any troubles with it so far.

    Had the same problem with Mermaid Puzzles on my daughters "iPod" (aka. my old 3GS running iOS 6.1.3).
    If You close all open apps and power cycle the phone it seems to run a few times then keels over again. I'll send the details to the developer.

  Great site, but a word of advice. The amount of God Bothering apps will alienate most parents. We live in the 21st centry not the dark ages.

    Religious apps are very popular with our readers. There is definitely a good market out there for them and we have covered many different religious beliefs in our 2 1/2 years on the website

    Religion is still very prominent in the lives of people living in the 21st Century it seems ;)

  Appreciate the effort. My daughters use a 1st gen iPad and a few of the apps didn't play nice. Overall, most of the apps were… "subpar", and didn't have any App Store ratings at all.

  Is that really possible and would it happen with any of these apps?

  At the moment we have a lot of free kids apps/demo versions and I've seen her press buttons that prompt to purchase the upgrade before. Thankfully I've canceled it but I assume that iTunes would prompt for your password before completing any purchase so I'm confused about the smh article above?

    That could ONLY happen if the additional purchases were made within a short period after the parent logged into iTunes. I don't know the default time, but it's not long (10-15 mins).

    Pretty much the same as Internet Banking - while ever the session is open, you can act within it. Once you close, the session closes. If you just leave it open, then walk away and let somebody else use your computer, then they could access your Banking.
