I think this is just the normal price, not really a bargain. Though it's still cheap for a super bright torch like this one.

    • where else have you seen this for $10 shipped?

      • +4

i meant this is the normal price on banggood. banggood has always been selling this torch at this price.

        • +2

yep was $11 odd with charger and batteries

this torch is this price all the time, this is not a "deal"

but….. it is a damn good torch

        • Was $11.96 with the charger and batteries as seen in the link that I posted in the original post.

        • +1

yea sorry i got mixed up, already edited my post to reflect the $11

this still isnt a deal thats postworthy being that its banggoods normal price for the torch only

        • +1

The torch, WITHOUT the charger and batteries, has always been at this price on banggood.

  • Be nice to hear from the previous purchasers as to whether this was any good. I have a spare 18650 and charger so if it is half decent, $10 isn't much for a very bright torch,

    • +1

I got one today. Overall not bad considering the price. Time will tell how good the batteries are - they look generic low cost/low quality. Whether it's "very bright" - well that depends on your definition. It's good enough for just about anything you'd want to do around the house but it won't peel paint or blind people on the space station.

I just wish the mode selection was better - having to cycle through all the modes with a off stage in between is just idiotic.

      • Pretty much this.

Could've done without the S.O.S mode.

I grabbed the bundle from banggood last week. Arrived yesterday, fantastic torch. Well worth it, and cudos to banggood on quickish delivery.

    • Yea surprisingly quick deliveries from China…, I ordered a Quadcopter and in about 2 weeks I got it…

    • I purchased from the previous deal, paid 7pm Mon 20/5 and received Tue 4/6 (basically 10-working days) to Adelaide.
Item is great value for money, very similar in brightness to my LED Lenser P7

  • +3

It's a great zoomie for the money, just don't expect 1600 lumen.

1600 lumen is "Chinese Lumen", for real lumen count it's approx. 500 lumen (divide by 3)

And an FYI for everyone, these run MUCH brighter off a 18650 lith ion battery.

    • even better again off a genuine 18650, rather than the cheapo ones that banggood ship them with.

For the money, you wont buy a better torch than this. Its not that long ago that you would sped $50-60 to get something comparable…

      • I agree, Panasonic and Sanyo make the best 18650 batteries

        • any good deal on reliable 18650 & charger?
i don't dare to use the one that comes with the torch

    • yes i tested vs a 830 lumen and the 830 lumen won so i concur

  • Thanks guys, needed a torch for my workshop!

  • i got the last deal with the cheapo trustfire batteries
i need to know are these batts safe for my 8 yr old to use in the torch?

    • I wouldn't recommend any lith ion batteries for an 8 year old mate, they can be quite dangerous if not treated with respect.

Edit: throw a couple of AA's in it, perfect for the kids!

      • and your optometrists wallet ;)

  • Got mine today. Pretty awesome torch for $10. Mine came with 2 big batteries too.

  • +1

Yep. Got mine this week. Very powerful torch. Definitely not for kids.

  • Got mine today, charger looks cheap, I would say you should not look into it directly off the 18650 battery, as I was playing with it the reflection off a mirror caught my eye…

I'm no flashlight connoisseur, best I have is a LED maglight, for the money this is a bargain if it lasts.

    • How many did you buy?

      • +1

        3?

  • I would get one but I am still waiting for my other torch from Zingy a month ago !! I know that if I get this the the other torch will arrive according to Murphy's.

  • Got mine two days ago. came with the charger and two batteries. The good thing is the charger will charge two or one battery. Not especially impressed with the brightness but still a good solid torch.

  • Can someone recommend me a good torch with a Long battery life ( Preferably conventional batteries - Doesn't matter which size)

By long I mean at least 3 hours Runtime.

  • Finally gave in and bought one to see what the fuss is about all these touches :-). My first, and hopefully last, of the many torch deals in OzB.

    • +1

This isn't a deal, its the normal price. Should have saved your money till its actually on sale.

      • +1

        Hey, it's $10. No biggie.

BTW, I just realised that my above post stated touches instead of torches (Swype input).

  • Got mine from the last Banggood deal yesterday. Torch looks nice and solid.

I'm charging the UltraFire batteries now and the charger LED is flashing red. Anyone able to tell me if this is normal charge cycle or error condition?

    • mines solid red when charging and green when charged (or the power is turned off)

made sure they are in the right way around?

      • Yep sure did.

        • tried just one battery at a time?

if there not already flat stick it in your torch and turn it on for a few minutes and try again. failing that email banggood and tell em you have a dud would be my guess

  • (Possible safety concerns, repost from another thread)

I received mine last week, the torch is pretty bright.
The different output modes can be toggled by half pressing, as in camera shutters.

However there seems to be a serious fault with the included 18650 charger.
The 18650 charger's open circuit voltage is -4.25v, which is of wrong polarity.
I have triple checked my meter, cable and labels on the 18650 charger.

    Is this normal?

    Side notes:
The charger's two battery slots are linked internally, so it's safer to charge battery one at a time.
The charger may keep trickle charging even after the light turns green, so it's safer to remove the battery asap.
