  • this has no actual remote control like a real rc car?

    • Control via Wifi

  • it only controls via an ipad/iphone device and it was originally retailed at 200 by kogan, and then 99 and now 69 so they must not be selling it enough and trying to get rid of stock now lol

  • Could replace the controler with a Raspberry Pi. Might be a nice hack

edit: There is a Google App called i-spy toys. Should work in Android.

    • Yes, very good idea to use Raspberry Pi. I have one for remote monitoring by usb camera.

  • 6 x AA batteries is a killer

well….. The tank is moving slowly. Battery is not a problem, you can replace them with a Li-Po.

Not bad price, in China, it is around 50AUD. I got one for my child, but you can't expect it move faster….

      it's a tank. fair enough :)

  • Can you control this from a remote location over the net? ie while at work, connect to my home network and use this as a wireless moveable IP camera?

    • Some investigation indicates this creates its own wifi network, which the control (iphone, etc) must connect directly to. ie you cannot control it over the net.

  • how come it said spytank when the tank it self cover with spy tank sticker?
