AldiMobile - still haven't activate the SIM after 10 business days. Photo verifications done on the first day and confirmed

DO NOT BUY ALDI MOBILE IF YOU WANT TO USE IT NEAR FUTURE - IF YOU WANT TO USE IN AFTER ONE MONTH _ MAY BE CONSIDER TO BUY

I bought a starter pack of Aldi mobile, yet not activated after 10 business days,, their etickets advised me they having an issue,, hey then stop selling your sim cards…

I asked for a refund their answer is they cannot do that as i bought the sim card over the counter, and they are not sure i will get the refund or not… well who would thought i will have a problem with a sim card,,

not recommend to any one at all

  • what's the photo verification? i've never done any photo verification whatsoever with optus/tpg/amaysim/dodo etc

    • This Aldi is hard to connect mate,, You need to send 100 points identification details,, , and it should be in one scan,, if you send them 3 files their system grab only the last one,, so you have to take photo with all three in one (drivers licence + Credit card +2nd Credit card)

  • O….I am thinking Aldi or Kogan sim recently.

    • If you google around it seems to be the same issue with Kogan Mobile as well (long delay in activation). Might be an issue with their upstream wholesaler, i.e. ispOne?

    • I ordered my SIM 2+ weeks ago from Kogan and I'm still waiting.

      My friends seem to be having a lot of fun on Aldi though. ;(

  • Looks like your details were not in the verification database so you were asked to send in a photocopy. I just activated a SIM and my details (drivers license and Medicare) were accepted online. Now waiting for the port to complete, within 4 hours, they claim.

    However it is true that the Aldimobile SIMs are hard to find. Don't know if due to supply problems or too popular. I found mine at the third store I visited.

    • Ok, just got the email that the port completed, 3 hours from when I started it. Looks like the delays for you (OP) are due to verifying your ID.

    • Also noticed that I haven't received any SMS setting messages. APN settings are available from the website though.

  • Still sounds better then Kogan.
