128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive for $99 from Kogan.com.au

Looks like it's a pretty good deal! Would be great for an external OS on a PC etc.

    $99 is the usual price.

    • I have both 32gb and 64gb in the Master USB3.0 sticks, great little sticks for the price. Not the fatest USB3 sticks though. One issue I have found with Master is that they are not compatible with the Logitech Squeezebox device. No idea why, but squeezebox does not see that brand of USB stick. Works on everything else I put it in. Not sure about speed and quality of this one.

$99 is their regular price, has been on sale before for $79 but there's nothing special about the $99 pricepoint.

Buy a cheap USB 3.0 enclosure and a SATA drive - faster by a margin.

    I do this - a M4 256Gb and it works sensationally - and its a name brand.

    • second that. use an ssd in usb3 enclosure fo better value and versatility.

    • Quality SSD's were about $85 a few months back for 128GB, much higher quality build and flash than this USB stick from Kogan.

i think in this case size matters in this case the smaller the better. I have a 64gb usb3 thumb drive and its awesome, would love a 128gb incarnation but cant justify it at the moment, for those who can then thats good for them.

  • finally, I can store all my data in one convienient and easily lost device.

  • I've got a Kogan 128GB USB stick.. not very good. Unreliable and they actually overheat. It sits in my draw now. Writes at USB2.0 speed but read speeds are ok. If I had to drop $79 again, I wouldn't buy it.

  • Lol in 3 years it'll be $5
