Hi, I need some guide with my first 28 degree MasterCard price protection claim.
I bought a Nokia Lumia 820 from jbhifi for $428 four month ago with price matching kogan.com. Now jbhifi have dropped the price to $389 on their website and kogan further dropped price to $299. I am pretty sure jb can match $299 kogan price.
Question is whether I should claim the difference of $428-$$389=$39 or $429-$299=$130 as jb can match kogan.com's price. By the way, as the claim Is under $200, no proves of new prices are required by GE money insurance.
Any suggestions or past experiences?
thanks.
What do the 28 degrees T&C say? If they specify the price at the same store, I think that legally speaking you're only entitled to what jb hifi have reduced it to. If you don't have to provide proof, whether you will get away with using Kogan's price is another matter.
