Oh rep, why didn't you offer this 2 days earlier? I've just bought 2kg from your other deal… I've been waiting for the Yemen bean offer since mention last week. Damn… do you think you will offer this again in a month or two again?

  • HAHA! I'm almost out of coffee… Is the Yemen washed? =)

    • Actually no, it's vary unique and rare and due to the nature of the climate it's grown in does not need to be washed

      • Will prolly still get it as its high altitude. =)

      • +1

Hi rep, are you able to offer only the Yemen beans in 500g or 1kg? I really want to try this but I am already having another 2kg coming from you soon, so I won't be able to consume them all that quickly… cheers…

        • sent you a pm

        • Could you send me this offer too please? Cheers.

        • pm me as well please.

        • send me this offer too please

        • Can I have a pm too?

        • send me a pm this offer please

        • I would greatly appreciate a pm also.

        • Could you pm me to

        • may I have a pm too?.. :)

        • Hi Obi1, your account isn't set up to receive pms. Please email me instead

        • Hi Mannabeans,

I just set my account up to allow pm's.

Could you please have another go.

          best regards

        • Oh man what a fool… ok emailed you and setup my pm.
Just a bit too keen to try this bean me thinks :-/

        • Can you please pm me as well?

  • Is it possible to get the 1kg split into 2 x 500gm? Also are you able to have the brand ground?

    • Hi Tbard,

I'm happy to send additional valved and resealable bags for $1 each which can be paid through the 'send money' tab in Paypal and made payable to [email protected] Please leave notes in Paypal

Unfortunately we are not grinding the orders anymore but are happy to offer a range of grinders starting from $64.95 for a Hario Skerton Ceramic Burr grinder as seen on deal page. Grinding as you go will ensure a longer life and better extraction of coffee for you :-)

      • Ok. Thanks. I understand what you're saying about maintaining freshness, but the grinding was good to have as an option. Thanks for quick reply.

    • from previous orders they can split at a cost of $1 for the additional bag

  • It takes me about 2 months to get through 2kg - is it worth buying that much?

I do store it airsealed/in a cupboard or in the freezer (I find the freezer works better but I know the jury is out on this) and get a good crema etc; but I'm always a bit uncertain whether I am doing the right thing.

    • +1

There are many varying opinions but I think it comes down to the individual in the end. Maybe 1kg in the cupboard and 1kg in the freezer? ;-)

    • does it still taste good? that's they key.

One trick I read is to make sure the stuff coming out of the freezer is still sealed air tight as it returns to room temperature before you put it in a grinder. You don't want condensation forming on the beans.

Ok, y'all convinced me. Just starting to run out of the previous 2kg deal…probably I need to invite more people over to my house. But then I will have to clean it. See what you have done to me.

      • Yes you are spot on

  • I'm looking to buy only 500 gm. Is this possible. Can you pm me if this can be done.

  • Awww you guys stopped offering grind :(

I have a grinder, but I liked being able to make ninja-coffees without waking other people up.

    • grind your own ninja-supply and seal it up?

Great deal. I'm interested to give the Yemen a try. First time buyer from Manna. Thanks

    • Welcome aboard ;-)

As the #1 fan of Yemen beans on this forum (at least on the Mannabeans 'suggest a bean' thread), I will be looking forward to my next order.

PLEASE keep aside enough for me to order his deal in around 5-6 weeks, Mannabeans!

If David O'Brien is reading this, you are a legend in many ways, but one was roasting and sharing some Yemen beans with me!!!

Your Yemen beans may not be as good as I remember when having them for my first time, but I bet they will be a great experience for anyone here, ordering them!

    • +2

Thanks Ben. This deal was actioned completely due to your request and enthusiasm about the Yemen coffee and for that reason I have specially reserved some of these beans to roast for you when you are ready. In the meantime I am sending you a small sample of another new Grand Cru bean for you to try :-)

      • +1

        Best rep.

      • Thanks so much. I received a sample yesterday. Smells wonderful.

I'm only getting through the first of my 2x 1kg bag of my last order, but as soon as I'm onto bag #2, I'll order this deal from you. :)

As mentioned below, your responsiveness and initiative is excellent!

      • Simon, thanks for reserving the beans! I am placing the order right now.

Thanks again for the sample which you sent… I would love that one again. :)

        Ben

  • Any chance of an aeropress deal like your previous ones?

    • aeropress any good?

      • +1

I have been using ours for about a year now. Works great.

Aeropress + aldi milk frother = quick easy great coffee.

So much easier quicker than our old machine and only takes about 5 sec to rinse it clean after use.

        • +1

same combo I use at work. makes better coffee than 90% of the cafes around.

    • +1

Sure. Aus Post has increased their shipping costs so I'm happy to do a similar Aeropress deal with 1kg of coffee but it will be $62.95 instead of $59.95. You can pay through the 'send money' tab in Paypal and make paymanet to [email protected]. Please leave notes in Paypal. Thanks

      • A couple of things, do you grind these? They have the option on your site still.
And how much extra for 2x500g rather than a single 1kg?

        • No grinding on these Ozbargains deals now, but we still offer the service on standard website purchase. extra bags are $1 each and notes must be left in Paypal.

      • so aeropress + 1kg yemen = $62.95?

  • 1 x 1kg Award Winning Blend

    Which one?

  • Either Jamocha or Fortitude

    • Any way to pick?

  • Is an Aeropress better than a Plunger? I understand it would probably filter better but does it taste better?

    • +1

Definitely, much cleaner cup of coffee and you can grind much finer so that you get the best extraction and flavours from the coffee

  • Anything for decaf drinkers,
    Please :) ?

    • 2kg Columbian Swiss water Decaf Organic $49.95

  • +1

can I have 500g of Yemen, and bundle it with 1kg of Brazilians & 1kg Guatemala?

  • Bought just because I could! It's about time I got stuck into the excess of beans I already have but anyways…

  • You've gotta space out these deals so people can get through the last 2kg you offered!

    • I've just opened my 1kg pack, so should be good for the next round lol.

  • Is there a way i can buy the 500g of the yemen and one of the other two other bags
2kg is way to much for me

    • Hi,

The shipping cost of sending only 500g or 1kg makes it less viable at such discounted prices and this coffee is usually $69.95 per kg however if it suits you better then I'm happy to do a special deal for you. 500g Yemen and 500g Award winning blend shipped will be $39.95 If you would like to proceed then please just click on 'send money' in Paypal and make payment to [email protected] and leave notes as to what you want.

      Thanks Simon

  • I would like to try this coffee. Can you please pm me price for 500g? Thanks

  • Any package deals for coffee + grinder + aeropress?

    • Hi, There is an option on the deal page to add a hario skerton ceramic burr grinder to this coffee deal and if you also require the Aeropress in addition then I will sell to you cheaper for an additional $35. Please click on 'send money in Paypal and make payment to [email protected] and leave notes in Paypal

      • what if you wanted to add a grinder to the above $62.95 deal (aeropress + 1kg yemen)?

        • $62.95 is not with Yemen but with one of our blends. The Yemen is a more expensive bean so the price with Aeropress+ 1kg yemen will be $69.95

        • Hario Skerton Ceramic Burr grinder is additional $64.95

  • -4

I ordered the last deal you had. Hated the jamocha that was sent in a lucky dip. I also ordered the 70g sample of another type of coffee so I'd be sure to enjoy the coffee I buy in future. Anyway took my 0.1c but the sample never came so I won't buy anymore beans because I don't want to be stuck with a kg of beans that i wont use and i don't believe it was good customer service.

  • Hi rep, just put an order in for 6kgs (3x this special) look forward to trying out your coffee. If its good stoof ill be in contact with you guys to bulk buy. Looking forward to trying the Yemen coffee, I didn't add the sample order in, but you could be generous and throw some in if you don't mind ;)

    Cheers.

    • Great stuff, welcome aboard and I'm sure you'll enjoy! :-)

  • Argh! Websites down and im desperate to try this stuff!

    • Back up now :-)

  • Thinking of giving this a try to see what all the fuss is about!

My in laws however have been hounding me to find Malongo coffee? Can you get that?

  • Sorry. Double post.

  • Ordered, looking forward to trying this!
Might have to get an Aeropress next time to see what all the fuss is about.

  • Wow yemen coffee. Sounds mysterious and exotic.
How does hand powered grinder compare to the electric ones?
    Is there any dis/advantages?

    • More energy needed ;-) hand grinder designed to grind smaller quantities

    • yeah it requires a bit of grunt to grind it. Though it feels really high quality. If you just keep it away from moisture, then your grinder will be fine. just to note, it takes about 2 mins to grind about 10 grams of coffee beans. (which is usually how much you would need for one cup of coffee using aeropress [2 scoops of coffee beans with the aeropress scoop])

  • mannabeans, is it possible to get say 4 x 250g Yemen for a good price? I'd like to share some with friends. It's just I know 2kg would be too much and I wouldn't want anything to go to waste. I've never bought coffee beans online before, looking forward to trying :)

Is there any good portable electric grinder under $100? I've been reading reviews on some and haven't found anything that's really recommended. I know manual grinder is meant to be better but I don't know if I could see myself manually grinding every day.

    • You're account doesn't accept pms, please email me. Thanks

      • It does now :)

      • mannabeans, you guys still taking order for the Yemen beans? Will like the same 4 x 250 gm deal. Kindly pm instructions.

    • I have one of these from a prevoius bigw deal. Works great.
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sunbeam-GrindMaster-EM0360-Coffee…

      • Good for a cheap option but blade grinders aren't very good to the coffee and you can't get change grind settings to get a precision grind to ensure a good extraction. You would get much better results out of a conical burr grinder.

        • You would be correct if what i linked to was actually a 'blade grinder'

It is a conical burr grinder (not a blade) and it has adjustable grind settings.

  • I'm considering getting the Cuisinart CBM-18A (Conical Burr Mill). Anyone got it?

  • Hi mannabeans,
I enjoyed the last 2kg offer you guys offered, it was fantastic!
I would like to place another order but would like to try Fortitude in place of Jamocha.
Would it be possible to request this order: 2x 500g Fortitude in place of the award winning 1kg and 500g of Jamaican Blue in place of the lucky dip?

    • Great stuff, thanks for the feedback and glad you're enjoying the coffees. Sorry but it gets too messy if everyone wants to specify coffees, I was planning on sending 500g Fortitude as the lucky dip for 95% of the orders anyway. Jamaican Blue is one of the most expensive coffees in the world and if you look on our website costs $89.95 per 400g. Happy to include this in your order but you would need to pay the additional $89.95 Thanks

  • Just ordered. I'm a first time Manna customer so looking forward to trying your beans :)

  • Are these beans Arabica?

    • Yes they are :-)

      • Please check your PM from me :) Guess you are busy roasting all those beans!

        • not til tomorrow :)

  • How did we go. did any orders get shipped today? Will we receive a shipping confirmation once order has been dispatched? Will it include tracking details.

    REgards

  • Yes, all good! The coffee is currently being roasted and shipped yesterday, today and tomorrow as per description and we will endeavor to get tracking out to people as soon as possible but please be patient as there are hundreds of orders and each tracking number has to be individually sent. Our first priority is to get all the orders out and then we will send tracking. Thanks very much

    • Thursday is here :) Fingers Crossed for shipping today. What service do you use for freight? We are in Brisbane,

      • Yes yours was despatched yesterday by Fastway Couriers so you should receive today :-)
Actually all orders have already been despatched now

        • +2

          Thanks for the tracking number!
Just looked mine up - apparently they 'Failed to deliver' today, with me sitting in a room right next to the front door. Called them up, guy on the other end of the phone rescheduled for tomorrow - we'll see if the driver is feeling more committed tomorrow I guess!

'Couriers Please' - I'd scrub them off your delivery partners if I was you :)

        • Nice surprise to find on the doorstep on a rainy day! Thanks for the update. Coffee is here. Will begin some tasting and come back with discoveries as they mature for 20 or so days :)

        • Agreed, Couriers Please were not very professional. Attempted delivery to a business address well before 8am and then carded me. When I called them they were unable to organise re-delivery on the same day.

On the positive side the Yemen coffee is really good!!

  • I ordered and paid on May 23, still haven't received my coffee yet
